As a municipal course (priced accordingly) it is well maintained, staff are friendly and helpful,. Obviously during this COVID crisis the amenities are minimal.And my wife and I just love the course. As the original designer said back in 1899, "Nature just meant for there to be a golf course here" with the big elevation changes, the hills and valleys, makes it feel like there are 3 different courses within its 18 holes.

With an even mix of par 3's and 4's, this municipal course is surprisingly well kept, if a bit short. But nice integration with the surrounding desert scape combined with some interesting elevation changes nevertheless make this a pleasant playing experience. Located on the final approach for Sky Harbor, noisy flyovers are de rigeur, a potentially unpleasant experience for the easily distracted.
