Loved this challenging course

Teed off a half hr. earlier than booked and we were paired up with another twosome. Always a bonus to meet friendly players who play quickly. Course was in the best shape of the 8 courses we played on this trip. Apparently all the bunker sand had been replaced on the course after torrential rains. I had first hand knowledge of the quality of the sand as there are numerous bunkers but very playable. Fairway bunkers were some of the deepest and steepest I have ever played. Greens were quick and well maintained. Fairways were in very good shape. Rough was minimal but there were lots of waste areas with sand or crushed rock like concrete. I had to learn quickly how to play out of the hardpan. Lots of water on the course as the temperature was around 100 degrees throughout our round. The beverage cart was around at least once on each nine. GPS carts were very comfortable. Range and practice areas were set up and maintained to the usual high standard at PGA West. Routing was through housing and on some streets in the gated community but did not affect pace of play or play on the course as the houses were set back from play.

Good shape, good food and friendly staff

Played as a twosome on an afternoon green fee of $30.00 that included lunch. Good shot values around the course. Greens were good and rough was short. What more could I ask for? Will play this course again.

Short course in fine summer condition

Played in 3 1/2 hrs. on a Saturday afternoon in mid summer. Staff were very friendly and offered an early start as the course was open (British Open) was on TV at the time. The range is irons only which was fine for what we wanted. $3.50 for a small bucket of newer range balls. The putting green and practice bunker were in excellent condition as was the course throughout our round. The beverage cart was by at least twice each nine.
Mosquitos were controlled by "mosquito guns" and I was not bothered by them. Greens rolled very smoothly and the bunkers were all in good shape with fine sand.

All in all, a very good experience at a great price.

Well conditioned, challenging course during a heat wave.

Booked this course for 1158, goth there early and went out at about 11 am. Very few players on the course. Course was in great shape for the 105 degree heat at that time of day. Greens were receptive and medium fast. Miss the fairway and the ball sat down in the rough necessitating a sharp angle of attack to advance the ball.

Bunker sand was good as I found out on several occasions.

Very few people on the course and we were able to advance through several groups to finish well under 3 1/2 hrs (as a twosome).

I was a bit antsy about houses near back pins on some holes but managed to keep the ball in a safe spot.

Golf shop staff and outside service staff were great, informative and friendly. We had no negatives on this course. Due to the extreme heat we did not spend any time after our round in the golf shop or dining facilities. Will play this course again and spend more time in the Gol Shop and dining area.

Awesome conditions during the heat wave

The starter moved us through to the second hole as there were new golfers having problems on the number 1 fairway. A good call for our twosome. The temperature got to 110 + on this day but the course held up extremely well. Good shot values throughout with lots of tee shots over water. Marshalls checked on us periodically, made sure we knew where the water points were and gave us a banana on our penultimate hole (a good touch). Saw the beverage cart several times during our 3 1/2 hr round.

Greens were very good and bunker sand also very good as I spent quite a bit of time in them. While we played through the Marriot complex of buildings and housing, I didn't feel hemmed in. There was lots of room. Shot 80 from the back after doubling 18 from the back bunker so was very happy with course conditions. This course looks benign from the roadway as you drive in. Not so.
The green fee booked on Golfnow was excellent value for the money. I would return here in a heartbeat.

Great, challenging course with lots of bunkers and a canal meandering through the course.

Played this course the last week of September in heat over 105 degrees. Greens were bumpy, suggesting recent aeration. Sand in the bunkers was good with deep fairway bunkers trapping any ball close to them. Excellent shot values on all holes. Staff were very friendly, giving course information beyond what the GPS displayed. I had seen the Bob Hope played on this course and was anxious to play it. My first time on Bermuda in years, I did not score well. 4 shots over my cap but would like another chance at the course now that I know what lies ahead. Big range facilities and friendly staff in the course restaurant which had good food at reasonable prices. I have put this course on my must replay list. Having the Mountain sheep visit our fairway was an added bonus. The sand flies were the only negative I could come up with.
