Bear's Best Las Vegas
Played On 05/20/2015Greens just Aerated
I got a good deal for a round at 1210pm, showed up early and the guy in the shop was nice enough to let me out early. Greens were just punched and sanded but the rest of the course was in good shape. I cant complain I got a reduce rate due to the aerification. Clubhouse bathroom could use some attention

Played On 02/02/2015My favorite course in Vegas
I paid a low rate for an afternoon tee time, but knowing it gets dark at 5pm this time of year I was not expecting to get done. The course is in great shape for winter conditions, but that was expected as its winter, too bad others who expect Augusta National confitions cannot grasp that concept when rating facilities on here, I wish players would fix ball marks, i noticed many and fixed way more than my share but I was just happy to be out on the links for an afternoon.

I was worried I would not finish my round, had a 110 tee time, I went into the pro shop and spoke to the golf pros Jose and Jason, they were cool enough to let me join up with a group that went out at 1210 They even worked with me on the price for the rental set, knocking off a few bucks. The course is an excellent lay out, the greens although looked alittle rough they rolled nicely about 10 on the stimp. I will be back on my next trip to Vegas due to the excellent service and Im a big fan of Nicklaus courses.

I played this course and got it for a great price by booking online. I know that this is a high end course so when I saw that the rate was so low I called and spoke to the pro shop, they informed me that the rate was low do to the course getting prepared for overseeding. I wish golf now would have mentioned it but for the price, you cant beat it. I think a few reviews slamming the course conditions are pretty unfair, just because those players were too uninformed to call and ask why the rate was so low, the course should not suffer by getting a poor review. I think the lay out was great and will be back, in the spring.
FWIW, I played several rounds in vegas during my stay that week, and all of the courses were preparing for maintenance. Pay attention people, it will save you frustration in the long run.
