We get together every year at Thanksgiving and this course is one of the items on the "must do" list. Several holes on the ocean and always has wind on the course. Lots of diversity and a godd challaege

Great time to play since we played in 3 hours. Course has several holes with blind shots and greens with some difficult pin placements. We enjoyed the diversity of the holes since everyone is different and forces you to work on ball placement off the tee. Not good if you spray the ball around since many holes are have narrow spots.

Played here in the past and have enjoyed our annual Thanksgiving in Nags Head. Golf course is well managed and course conditions are great. It is cold this time of year but worth the drive for a nice public course.

Pace of play was problem, course staff seemed uninterested, unaware or both. Did not seem to understand that 2 hrs for the first 7 holes was a problem. May want to get someone to manage the course on a more professional level.

Played Thanksgiving week and weather was perfect.

Took over 4.5 hrs to play and also started late. Just short of 5hrs from our scheduled tee time. Management should make an effort to send out ranger to prevent this type of slow play. Course is interesting and in good shape. Worth the effort to play this course although finishing hole is a little underwhelming.

Got to play a quick 9 at Whitney farms in one hr. This was November 17 so not crowded on course. Course was in great shape and greens were amazing. Nice course to play with creative and challenging design.

Great course and a must play if anywhere near the course. Drove 1hr. 20 minutes and will do it again since the course is great. Nice people, great fairways and beautiful setting. I would suggest staying to eat lunch or dinner after the round since the food was also good and sat outside on the patio as the sun was setting at end of day.

Enjoy the design even though seems to bother other golfers. Some quirky holes with blind shots so adjust your expectations first couple of rounds. Greens were slow and fuzzy which made putting not very consistent. Only real complaint is buckers had lots of rocks which was not up to the standard of rest of facility.

Course was in good shape and teed off exactly on time which is great for a Sunday afternoon. Public course that looks like it is trying to provide a good experience on a course with some unique holes.

Requires more accuracy and thinking than most courses on the back nine...

Played on a Thursday and got a late start since they were running 15-20 minutes behind. Once we started pace was good. Varied and interesting design with no boring holes. Nice practice facilities...Play if you can!

Played the course in November with rain most of the round. Course still held up well and was in great condition. Found the course very interesting especially the 5 most difficult holes as rated on scorecard. Worth the drive from Nags Head where we were on vacation with family.

Challenging course with some unique holes. Best played by someone looking to put game to a test. Greens were in good shape, overall the course was decent condition for a public course now owned by the town. This course has many features not normally found on public courses since it was private till the last few years. Great design and worth the trip.

Was visiting Rochester area and picked this course off golfnow site. Very nice course and unusual links style with lots of wind made it more interesting.

Nice pro shop and staff. Do no hesitate to play this course.

Nice course well maintained. A variety of tees so several players of different skills can play together.

Always a rewarding round and can be played in short time since 9holes. We should have more courses like this one to promote the game!

Great to have a course that stays open all winter. Good design with open front and tight back. Only complaint is slow play on weekends but you get what you pay for!

More interesting and diverse than most public courses since it was previously private. Played several times this season and always in good condition.
