I have not played here in quite a long time. The course is in fantastic shape with super fast greens.

The back nine tends to be narrow with lots of trouble if you spray your shots.

I would consider it a gem off the beaten path and worth the trip. The food on the 19th hole is worth the trip out to Kappa!

Pace of play was slow the afternoon I played, but the course and conditions were fantastic. Greens roll true making it easy to make putts. Overall I would recommend this course if you're in Destin.

Crooked Cat is one of my favorite courses in the USA to play. The course is in fantastic shape and a fun track with a variety in the holes. If you are in the Orlando area, then I highly recommend this course over all the others to play.

The weather was cold and windy so not a lot of players out on the course. I was a tad late for my tee time and the starter was going to put me behind a twosome as some sort of punishment. Then, he suggests I head over to #19 and play that nine first. I was glad he did as I never saw a single group until I played my second nine. Great course and I will be back!

I was heading home from a conference in Fargo and decided to try this course as it was just a few miles off of I-94. There were maybe a dozen cars in the lot when I arrived around noon. A larger group arrived around the same time, but the nice young lady working assured me that I could tee off before them. I finished in just over two hours for all 18 holes. The course has a variety of holes so you will need most or all of your clubs. The sand was immaculate and the fairways were cut consistently. A great value for the conditions of the course.

This is a must play if you are looking for a challenge. The course easily matches or exceeds those of the Alabama RTJ Trail courses. Every hole is unique and each green is a challenge. Without a doubt, the UGA team has a huge home course advantage as you need to play multiple rounds there to learn the greens that have few if any straight putts.

This course was one of the nicest and most picturesque courses that I have played and this includes all of the courses I have played on the RTJ Golf Trail and Florida resort courses. The course has lots of carries over ravines off the tee and a wide variety of doglegs on most holes so you rarely have a full picture of the hole. The greens are immaculate and feature more break than the eye sees. This is a course where you need to keep notes on many of the holes to know where you can miss. I frequently got out to tee shots and found myself with poor lies and if I had known better I would have aimed differently off the tee or hit a shorter club.

I stumbled upon this course when looking for a place to play on the way home from Colorado and I am glad I found it. No two holes are alike in distance or style of green. As a testament, I hit every club in the bag except my 8-iron while shooting a 76. The course features very wide fairways on most holes and what they call "blowouts" that are sand traps with grass and mounds within the bunker. I managed to avoid these on every hole so it can be done. My only complaint is the new house on the par 3 11th, which is too close to the hole! All I could think about was not shanking it into one of the windows. My suggestion would be to move the back tees about twenty yards to the left and/or put up a net. Other than this, the course is a championship caliber course that should host state and regional tournaments.

I live over in Normal, but try to make the trip over at least once a year to play this gem. Course is in excellent shape and fun to play. Watch out for the hornets between the first green and the ninth tee.

This a topnotch facility and worth the drive over from the Universal Studios area. There are a wide variety of holes on this course and you can make it play easy or very hard depending on your choice of tees. The greens all rolled nice and true. I was very impressed with the Hills course and will be back to try the other course when I return.

Played on a Sunday afternoon and one of the last to go out. They seem to have limited services for F&B service for golfers and more for the members. Overall the course I thought was in excellent condition and the best course in the Sun City area.

This course is a must play for any low handicapper. I would not recommend this course for a high (20+) handicap. The greens roll true and are fast, but not unreasonable. I only had a couple of three putts and if I played it a few times, I doubt I would have had those. If you get out of position on any hole, expect to pay the price. The last five holes are as difficult as any finish you will play.

Over the years I have talked to many who have played here and the consensus is you either hate or love this course. Well, after playing here for the first time I am indifferent but feel they should warn you a bit more about some of the severe greens you might encounter if you miss. I played with an older, frail man who could not hit putts hard enough to make it up a five or six foot rise. If you are not a good putter, then prepare to have many 3, 4, and 5 putts on this course.

Crooked Cat is one of my favorite courses in the US to play. I played from the Green tees, which provides a nice variety of hole lengths. All of the par 5's are reachable with two well-placed shots. Hole #13 is an extremely challenging par 3 and reminds me of #10 at Congressional. The course is extremely lush and green with consistency from hole-to-hole. Greens were rolling great with very few if any ball marks.

Course has a variety of holes so expect to use all of your clubs. The course was in decent shape, but a few tee boxes are in bad shape. Most of the greens roll true, but are a bit slow. Overall it is a nice course and a great value for the price.

If you are in the Battle Creek area, then this course is worthy of your money. The course is not overly tricky so first time players can score well without prior knowledge of the course. Greens were in fantastic shape.

The course was in excellent shape and was fun to play.

This is one of the nicer courses in the area. Many scenic holes along the water canals that adjoin the surrounding homes. Remember to bring the bug spray or use the machine provided on the first hole as the bugs do bite!

This is my favorite course to play in the area and that includes World Woods. You may not find wider fairways anywhere on most holes. A premium is placed on hitting your approach shots here.
