One of my favorite courses
The course was in great condition
Staff was friendly and professional
Pace was a little slow, but still finished in 4.25 hours

Very little grass on fairways. Uneven tee boxes. Small greens.

My twosome played on Tuesday at noon and played in a little over 3 hours. Course was in great shape for early January. Many challenging holes but fair. Lots and lots of bunkers. Friendly staff. We will definitely play this course again.

Beautiful mountain views. Great fairways and true greens. My only problem was the round took over 5 hours, partly because of a lightning delay.

Unique course! First nine relatively flat and open; back nine a real mountain course with tight fairways.
Great view of he Smokie Mountains. Course was in great over-all shape - the greens had recently been aerated but they will be reall nice in a couple of weeks. Very freindly staff. I will play this course again!!

I have played this course for over 35 years under several owners and this is by far the BEST condition this course has ever been in. The greens were great, the fairways and tee boxes have had considerable work, the sand in the traps was consistent (although we found a few small rocks) and the staff was very cordial. We will definitely paly Heddle's Hideaway again.

Very enjoyable experience. I have played this course many times and always find it a great place to play. Good condition for greens and fairways. A relatively short course from the white tees. Not a lot of out-of-bounds. I will play here again.

Great variety of holes with great greens. Once you find the course (well hidden in a beautiful subdivision) we thoroughly enjoyed this course. With golfnow.com we played for less than a dollar a hole.

Fast greens but rolled true.

The Blue Course was a unique mixture of Scottish layout and was much more narrow than the Red and White nines. Easy to lose balls not in fairway. But the Blue Course was the most fun to play.

Beautiful course, well maintained, but REALLY try to stay in the fairway, especially on the back nine. Great greens.

The course was still a little wet from all of the rain, but 90 degree rule was in effect. Very well maintained. A few holes where being familiar with the course would have saved some strokes (hazards we could not see). Thoroughly enjoyable round, though and great Golfnow rate. The best course we have played so far. Will play it again!

Although it was pretty wet because of all of the rain, the course was still quite playable. Great variety of holes and very scenic.
I will definitely play Sapelo Hammock again.
