Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine
Played On 10/08/2019Good price and great course
Everything was great except my tee time was at 10, so I arrived 30 minutes early to hit balls and warm up. The starter yelled my name after 5 minutes telling me I needed to hurry up as he had me grouped with two other guys also having a 10 tee time. Luckily it was great to play with them. Just wish the warm up time would have been given.

Played On 08/07/2019Tee time moved up
The course was in great shape except the greens were a little slow but was able to adjust after about 5 holes. However, I arrived at 9:15 in order to prepare for a 10 tee time. So I went to the driving range at 9:30 the ranger is screaming out my name from the shed and waving his arms for me to grab my bag and hurry up.
As I did, I was told that a storm was coming. Luckily, I was paired with two great guys that made the round really enjoyable. The storm never did come
and apparently we were the last tee times for the day because no one was behind us. I play at Sandpiper every time I visit but it always seems like the staff is always pushing you to tee off early or they run an hour behind. Besides that it is a great value and a great course.

Played On 08/07/2019Best value and course conditions
Even though the greens were aerated (as stated when booked) the greens still were very playable. The course as always was in excellent shape. And the round was very enjoyable as there were no problems with pace of play. I was a single and at least 3 if not 4 groups allowed me to play through. The only comment of concern is they now give a very small bag of warm up balls for the range. However, it was explained that others abused the range and would hit balls and not being playing. A suggestion would be to give out paper wrist bands or some simple ID tag instead of limiting patrons. However, I keep company by back and telling people about this course because it is a great place for all level of golfers at a extremely reasonable rate. Keep up the great work! See you again on the next trip to the area.

Played On 04/29/2019Great
A huge difference between playing on a Monday instead of the Saturday round.
The course was not crowded even though we had s twosome in front that obviously were just learning to play it was still enjoyable. The entire staff was friendly and the starter even gave me more than one bag of range balls to warm up with. I think I will stick with just playing during the week- to crowded on the weekends. The place is a totally different place when things are more calm and relaxed than trying to put so many people through their round. Keep up the great work. Will be back in the fall for more rounds.
Thanks

Played On 04/27/2019Great course but expect to wait
The course is in great shape. Greens roll true- tee novels immaculate, everything is perfect.
However , they always overbook- so the tee times are a joke. However, part of the problem was with Giolf Now, I saw seven people myself included that made a tee time reservation through Golf Now but did not get on the Clubhouse sheet. But this did not really matter the starter always favored the people he knew or the people who would slip him extra cash for a better tee time. But overall the course is in great shape. I also need more than 20 range balls to warm up with, they now only give a small bag instead of having the balls out so you can properly get ready for a great round. Fire the starter and change the range balls and this will once again be the best place to play. I keep coming back to play because I support who and what they are designed to be. Thanks to everyone who is working hard to make it a great place.

Played On 04/23/2018Played only 9 because of rain.
The course was wide open because of rain. Had played 2 days before. I was amazed at how much the grass on the greens had come in. In a few weeks the course should be in the great shape it normally is.
One of the best places to play.

Played On 04/21/2018Great Course- Greens were in repair
I always play here when I am in N. Myrtle Beach. The course is usually in great shape. A winter ice storm killed the greens so the greens were in repair. So the greens were rather bumpy and extremely hard to play on.
However, in the many years playing this course this was an extreme exception to the excellent conditions that I usually find the course in. I love the fact that range balls are included in the price.Great facilities and staff. Thanks for a great day. Shot 79 and easily could have been a par round. Looking forward to May when the greens are in.

Played On 10/08/2017Best course in Myrtle Beach area
I have played this course for 3 days in a row. The management even let me play out of the normal rotation to accommodate me being a single and to speed up my pace of play as I was having to wait on the foursome in front of me on the previous nine.
The course IS ALWAYS IN GREAT SHAPE!!
It even beats some more expensive courses. I will continue to play here every trip to Myrtle Beach. Thanks for all of the hard work of the staff.

Played On 04/22/2017Tee Time Not Relevant
The course for early in the year was in fairly good condition. Tee boxes were kind of sparse and the greens were grainy and slow. However, the overall course was good and a place I love to play. However, the starter seemed to favour other groups and being a single he put me off for 45 minutes after my tee time was scheduled.
I got to the course early to warm up at their great range. So the wait put me there about 2 hrs before teeing off! Other than that the experience was good.
From the Head Golf Professional. Thank you for the feedback and let me offer an explanation. Golf Now pulls open tee times through the day but is not live. If it does not refresh in time Golf Now times appear to be overbooked.
Several slow groups in the morning backed up the afternoon. Our starters do not take tips and do an excellent job getting 150 golfers out in a two hour period.
The small bag of range balls is free and for warm up purposes. Additional bags are available for purchase.
Our course conditions and staff are excellent. Thank you for the feedback.
