I was not told that the back nine was closed before I started the round. Only when I got through with the front nine was I told I’d have to go around again.
And that I’d have to wait until the 8 people waiting at the first tee had moved on.
The course itself was not in great shape and the greens had just been sanded.
A very disappointing day.

If you are afraid of heights you may not like some of the majestic, sweeping views on almost every tee box. I must have said “Wow” dozens of times. Besides the incredible layout of the course, it was in excellent condition. I haven’t played on better grass and the greens were smooth and fast.
Hank, the starter was very informative and a fun guy to talk with.

Excellent course in perfect condition, especially considering the brutal heat. Everyone we encountered was as friendly and helpful as could be. Definitely going back first chance we get.

This course is fun for me because you really need to choose your landing spots from tee to green. I play with my husband who can hit a lot further than I do, but that doesn't give him much of an advantage on this course because it's all about keeping it in play. And there are several holes where you can't hit a driver or you are in big trouble, so be sure to check the GPS for hidden ditches and water.
The 3 times we've played this course the pace of play was between 3 & 1/2 and 4 hours, but we always go out early in the morning.
The first time we played here the planes were a distraction as you are right under DFW's approach to the runways. But this last time I hardly noticed them, so you do adapt.
The staff are all really friendly people and we enjoy playing here.

My girlfriends had been telling me that this was a great course, so I finally talked my husband into going up to Perkins to try it out. First of all, it was a pretty drive and it only took 40 minutes from Edmond. We got there a little early and the guys in the pro shop told us we could start on #10 since the front nine was a little slow and the back was clear. It was like having the course to ourselves and we played really fast despite it being a very windy day. Since it is so early in the year the grass was still dormant but the greens were in good shape. We definitely want to go back after the burmuda fairways green up. Interesting and challenging layout with lots of water, but fun!

This course was in great condition and the grass was so green and lush we had a hard time believing it wasn't summertime. Everyone connected with our golf outing was friendly and helpful. We had a great time and have already gotten tee times for 2 more days.

The staff was not at all friendly or even polite. The course was only Slightly better than 'fair' condition and the pace of play was so bad we called it quits after 7 holes. There were no water stations on course, we never saw a Beverage cart and the drink machine took my $2 but wouldn't give me anything.

We love this little course because of the excellent conditions, the fact that it usually isn't crowded, the beautiful scenery, and most of all...the people who work there are ALL so nice and friendly.

My husband and I liked this course so much we made sure we fit another round in during our vacation. We were paired with other couples both times we played but still managed to play both rounds in about 4 hours. And we had a great time as both couples were fun and interesting, and having played the course before they helped us with reading those mountain greens.

This is a nice course but it was an hour drive from Vail and frankly, there are nicer courses to play closer to Vail.
We were paired with a 2-some that played a lot slower than we are used to, so we fell way behind. Since no one ever came up behind us, I think the pro shop could have let us go off as a 2-some instead of putting us with those guys.

This great little course (which used to be private and still looks like it) is only 30 minutes from Beaver Creek/ Avon. We had played Vail the day before and we thought Gypsum Creek was in better condition and the staff could not have been nicer. We felt like we had the course to ourselves because we never had to wait on a tee and never felt pushed from behind, even though there were a fair number of people playing the course. Number 14 is a super elevated par 3 that was breathtaking! We definitely plan to play there a lot more in the future!
