Redhawk Golf Club
Played On 04/26/2023Great layout, challenging, birdie opportunities
Great course for the 10 - 25 handicappers. Nice layout, greens are very good, some patchy spots in the fairways and tee boxes but hey, it's CA weather. Overall the conditions are very good. Staff was friendly, pace was great. Some long and short holes, which I like. Par 3's are fairly short. If you hit the ball straight you'll score well here.
Los Prados Golf Course
Played On 11/06/2022Great little community course
This is short course in comparison to most par 70 courses, but it's very tight. I drive the ball about 240 but spray it occassionally so on most holes I used an iron off the tee because so many homes are in play. The course has a great layout and the greens are fast & sloped. If your game is on you can score well, but it's not a cakewalk for most players.
Legends Golf Club
Played On 04/21/2022Nice course, good layout, friendly staff
Very friendly staff. Course was in very good shape, especially considering the lack of water in the southwest. They've done a good job with what water they have available to them. Pace was great, Many holes require you to move the ball left or right, which is always nice. I hit a few wayward shots but was able to find my ball every time, which is good. Would definitely play again.
Mt. Woodson Golf Club
Played On 04/19/2021Beautiful layout
Yardage is on the short side, but still kept my score high. Fantastic layout, some very difficult holes, but if you're an accurate iron player you'll do very well here. Greens are fabulous, not too fast, not too slow. Greens are well guarded and you pay a penalty for missing on most holes. Spectacular views. Will definitely play again.
Aliante Golf Course
Played On 12/01/2018Expansive layout, good course
The course stretches a long, winding way through a local development. That said, there's plenty of room for errant shots without disturbing the neighbors. I was wild off the tee and never came close to hitting any real estate. The few local homeowners I did see were friendly. Great layout, deep sand traps, and overall the course was in very good shape. Staff was very friendly, as were the 2 golfers I teamed up with.
Delaware Springs Golf Course
Played On 11/17/2018Very nice course, will play again
I really enjoyed this course. I played the white tees, which I usually play, but they might be a bit too short for handicappers 15 and below. The greens were immaculate. There were 1 or 2 greens on the back that had some damage, but overall they were incredible and FAST!. Fairways are fast and a little spongy, which makes them very forgiving. Staff was friendly. Good value for the price.
Hello. We appreciate you leaving a review and rating us. We will inform the entire team, so they know their hard work is paying off. We look forward to having you back! Thanks for choosing Delaware Springs.
Mohegan Sun Golf Club
Played On 10/07/2017Very Challenging Course
This is my 2nd review of this course, having played it about 8 times now. The layout is great and conditions are very good, however don't expect to score well unless you bring your A game. The rough is very deep around the greens, the greens are very fast, and the slopes of the greens are the most difficult I've ever seen (the 3rd hole is unreasonable; it's extremely difficult just to keep a putt on the green; needs to be fixed). In my past 3 rounds, I've seen my colleagues hit at least 5 putts off of the greens. It's not uncommon to have your 2nd putt be longer than your first. I'm an exceptional putter and I had 41 putts in a round back in August. I shot 87 here last week and felt like it would have been 77 on most courses. That said, I highly recommend it. Some of my playing partners 'fluff the ball' in the rough to make it manageable. If you're a high-handicapper you might want to consider it :)
Los Prados Golf Course
Played On 04/07/2017Beautifully maintained course
The landscaping was impeccable. The greens had been aerated recently but that's a necessity for good greens. That aside, the conditions were perfect and the course was very pictuesque. Some of these community courses can be a bit dingy but not this one. The course is fairly short so low handicappers may be disappointed if they're looking for a challenge. But for a 14 handicap like myself I found it to be a lot of fun, especially because arthritis prevents me from hitting the ball more than 220 yards these days. Great staff, and the houses are far enough away so that I didn't hit any :)
Norwich Golf Club
Played On 07/25/2016Nice older course
Staff was nice, price was good. First hole is a bit scary alongside the road (bad for us whose miss is a pull-hook) but that fairway and most of the others are wider than most courses. Lots of holes where placement off the tee is crucial, including the 16th where I hit my drive 280 and had 0-chance to hit the green because of the elevation (a hybrid would have been a better choice). Most greens and fairways were very good, although some greens on the back 9 were bumpy. Lots of sand, hills and elevated greens.
Mohegan Sun Golf Club
Played On 07/24/2016Well planned layout for this course.
This course has some of the best risk/rewards holes I've ever seen, this coming from a person who hits his driver 240 - 280. If you can hit it further and straight then you'll score very well. I hit my driver only 4 times, choosing to play it safe in most cases because my driver isn't the straightest. It was 90 degrees when we played and the course provided free bottled water and coolers on the cart - very nice! GPS is interactive - also very nice! I scored OK but definitely would score score better the next time out. I attributed about 6 strokes to lack of course knowledge. Greens are lightning fast! But they roll well. There were 2 or 3 hole placements that were unreasonable (US Open placements). On the 3rd I barely tapped a 4' putt that caught the lip and rolled 20' past. Keep the ball below the hole! Can't stress that enough.
Primm Valley Golf Club - Lakes Course
Played On 03/30/2016Great golf course
Greens Nd tees were in excellent shape. Fairways were ok but I'm sure they'll improve if the drought ever ends. Great layout and not too difficult if you play from the proper tees

Boulder Creek Golf Club - Coyote Run/Eldorado Valley
Played On 02/24/2014Great course for the average player!
The Boulder Creek course has a lot of contours and sand traps. The fairways are very fast. The 'rough' is actually cut very short so that any errant shots tend to run through the rough and into the native waste areas. The rough is also 'colored' brown, which creates a very nice contrast with the lush green fairways. Greens were in great shape, pace of play was very good.
Sun Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Played On 2/14/2013Challenging but not frustrating
We played this course in mid-February. The pace of play was very good, the staff was cordial. Lots of people handling your bag and cleaning your clubs so be prepared to dole out some singles to several people (typical fancy course protocol). The course was in great shape. Several sets of tees so adjust to your own skill level. Greens were great, a few water holes, LOTS of sand and great views. Check the discounts on GolfNow.com otherwise you'll pay more than you should.
Sunny Hill Resort & Golf Course
Played On 7/14/2012Fun course in a beautiful setting
An older, short course. Although it's short, it's also very difficult. The greens are very small, most of them elevated and almost impossible to hit from the fairway. Good golfers will be able to reach several of the par 4's from the tee, but not likely hold the green. Chip and pitch shots are all very challenging. Requires a lot of touch around the greens. Only 1 par 5 and it is easily reachable in 2 shots. The par 3's are very difficult, with par being a good score on almost any of them. The course is nestled in the Catskill mountain range with beautiful views of the surrounding area. It's not a course where ball striking is a premium. A good score relies on your ability to get up & down from around the greens.
Hello, kmccorm346. Thank you for visiting us at Los Prados Golf Course. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
