Front 9? Not too difficult. Back 9? Different story. In any event I was paired with a fun group of people. Lovely course. Had a great day.

As a single be prepared to share your cart with the 3-some playing at the same time. If you’re ok with that you should have a great time. I did!!

Staff teamed me up with a father/son duo and we all had a fun round of golf.

When I made my tee time, I was not informed that I was following a tournament of Senior Men. So from now on, I will do my homework. I love playing this course, but I didn’t love that it took me 4 hours to get around the course.

When I arrived after not playing for a year, I was told the portable toilets previously located between the 9th and 10th holes had been removed. So unfortunately, I had nothing to drink during my entire round and felt rushed throughout my game. While I love this challenging course, I can’t recommend Kirkcaldy to my lady golf pals because the club has decided not to invest in these facilities.

I popped in 2 days before my tee time to make sure I knew where to go and learn a little bit about the course. Young Finley was a delight to chat with. Scotland has been enjoying an unprecedented hot streak with little rain and the course was suffering a bit from lack of water. But it did not deter my enjoyment of the course.

Pretty challenging course for this high handicapper. However, it was a beautiful day with a lovely views of the new Queensferry Crossing Bridge. This was my second time to play here, and the reason I would recommend it to a friend is because people were friendly and helpful, and its a beautiful course. But the two-some in front of me was waiting on the three-some in front of them who was waiting on the group in front of them. And there are just so many golf courses in Fife to play. I’ve played Thornton, Scoonie, Kirkcaldy, Kinghorn, Lochgelly, and pace of play has not been an issue. FYI.

If your sat nav is old it will take you to a day care center. The course moved 4 years ago. Lots of steep hills to walk up and down so we rented their gas golf cart. And while it managed to finish the round, a look inside the engine showed it desperately needed some TLC. The locals were walking and we usually do the same but on this day we needed the buggy.

Since the course appeared busy and the players were stacking up, the two visiting gents in front of me asked if I (woman playing alone) would like to join them. I agreed and it was very enjoyable. The man in the pro shop gave me a rundown of the clubhouse and the course. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get around.

Interesting drive to the course. Not a lot of trouble to get into, not very hilly, easy walk.

Not a lot of trouble for this high handicapper but if you deviate from the fairway things will get bumpy. Partial concrete cart paths are in but dirt cart paths are primary. Driving range and putting area were nice and would love to try their cafe next time, because there will be a next time.

White Course had no sand traps but several challenges around the water. Blue course had no sand and not as many water challenges. Be sure and have a bite to eat at Eddlemon's BBQ.

Not a lot of ways for this novice golfer to get into trouble. It was right up my alley
