Pretty good

Pros: Course was in pretty good condition. Looked very pretty, played ok, wasn't too wet or firm. Tee boxes were a little iffy, but were playable, fairways were nice, bunkers were weird as they had lots of rocks in them, but they were all playable and pretty nice, and greens were pretty nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful, which is always a good thing.
Cons: a couple of small things that really kept it from getting the remaining star. The bunkers were not raked, which is more the players fault than the courses, but still something negative. The practice facilities weren't great, the range was hitting cruddy balls off old mats, the chipping green and bunker were total garbage and almost unusable, and the putting green was kinda small and far away from two of the three first tees. The carts were electric which was nice, but the seats were almost caved in kinda, which meant you weren't sitting on any padding really. The last thing was the layout was only ok. On the pines course, I came in with a pitching wedge on like 5 holes out of the 9. That just isn't all that fun and very repetitive when that happens. Also, the links course course wasn't very "links-y". The 9 had a lot of trees, wasn't pretty soft and not firm, and had small greens. I know this is nit-picky, but not what you expect from a links style layout, so be prepared for that.
Overall, for $86 dollars (not including range balls,) I'm just saying it could have been a LITTLE bit better. The course was in good shape, which is always the important thing, which is why it got 4, but the other small things didn't get it the fifth. I played the Pines/Links course, and some holes were very repetitive on the first. Overall, I would go back and play again, as it is a fun course and looks appealing, but just a couple of small things irked me a little bit that didn't make it perfect to me.

Beautiful Desert Golf

Pros: Fantastic course, great layout, great conditioning, great everything. Tees were great, fairways were like carpet, sand was great, and greens were fantastic. They were quick and lots of little breaks. Nice range and nice practice green, overall good practice facilities. Carts were nice and pro shop was stocked well. Staff was very friendly, everybody there tried to make us feel welcome. Restaurant was pretty nice too.

Cons: none I could think of

Overall, I loved my experience at Trilogy at Vistancia. The course had an awesome mix of holes, with some very long ones, and some very short ones. Every club was tested, and every hole was manicured perfectly. I would absolutely play another round here.

Nice Course at a Great Price

Pros:
Pretty nice course. It's a county course, so everything was a little beaten up, but was also restored as best they could. Sand bottles on carts helped with tee boxes damage and divots. Traps actually had sand in them, something pretty rare for county courses. Greens were kinda weird, as they were sandy, but they rolled pretty true and were quick. Layout were very nice, with every hole being different and challenging in its own way. Carts were nice and were electric. Practice facilities were good, nice big driving range and a bunch of chipping and putting greens. Value was very good, as $30 for as much as we could play was a very good rate.

Cons:
Pace was a little slow, which was expected, as it's a big county course. Like I said before, greens were a little weird. They were not aerated, but still were sandy. Even though they were good, they just seemed and felt a little weird because of the sand. While you are given the option to walk, I would not recommend walking because it is a hilly course, some holes are far apart from each other, and it slows pace down.

Overall, the course was pretty good for what it is. It's a county course, not Augusta, and for a county course, it was very nice. To top it off, $30 was a great rate, and I would definetly play again for that rate.

Fair weather

Nice, fun course

Pros: Fantastic layout, very cool idea with each hole representing a different famous architect. Tee boxes were pretty nice. Fairways in good condition, but showed signs of recent aeration. Greens were pretty good, but again, showed signs of aeration. Food at the turn was good, but just typical burgers and dogs. They have a restaurant inside the clubhouse, but I didn't eat there. Carts were very nice electric carts. Range was nice, has grass teeing area, but was mats the only the day I played.

Cons: Pace was slow, about a 5 hour round. Bunkers were hit or miss, some being nice with others being too hard, not enough sand, or wet. Leaves were all over the place, but hey, that's fall golf in NJ.

Overall, I would make the hour and ten minute trip again to play Architects. It was a very nice course, with beautiful views and just a very fun place to play. It can be a very difficult course, like today was with wind and difficult pin placements, or it can be an easy course. I would definetly encourage you to play a round there before this season is over.

Good course

Pros: Great conditions overall. Tee boxes were very good. Fairways were great. Bunkers were very good and full of sand. Greens were good, little on the fast side but rolled true. Rough was thick but not unfair (there should be a penalty for missing the fairway;) Very nice pro shop.

Cons: Carts could use an update, although they were electric which was nice. Driving range was a little weird, as it is straight uphill and the balls could use an update too. Range balls also scattered the 15th fairway, so just make sure you hit the right ball there.

Overall, I had a very good experience at Fox Hollow for my first time playing. We played in 3.5 hrs which is awesome. I would definetly play again.

Good Course

Pros: Fantastic conditioning. Tees boxes were awesome, fairways were very good, greens were very good. A challenging course for low handicaps from the tips, but it is also forgiving and fun for beginners. Driving range and other practice facilities were very good, and range balls were included in the green fees. Carts were very nice, and staff was very friendly as well.

Cons: Bunkers were not playable. Pace was also an issue, as it was almost a 5 hour round on a weekday afternoon.

Overall, a very good course. I will be back and hopefully pace will be better next time.
