I play this course regularly. It is a nice layout which is a fair test for amateurs of all abilities. New management earlier in 2019 has made a difference in the experience. Improvements to the course, the personnel, the check-in and more are under way and are helping this course get better. The setting has many scenic vistas which, to me, make the experience more enjoyable. The greens are improving and are challenging, but fair. The cost is reasonable but deals are available if you are flexible for playing time. I recommend PGC to anyone living or traveling in the Prescott, AZ area.

I visit the Raleigh area a few times a year and try to find different courses to play. River Ridge is one I will play again. I liked the variety offered by the design of the course. There are some forced carry holes, some blind tee shots, and some uphill and downhill holes. Per reviews I read before selecting this course, the greens are fast (but fair) and can ruin a hole or a whole round if you aren’t alert. I thought the course was fun and a good value.

I try to play Oak Creek Country Club about twice per year. It is truly one of the highlights of my golf experiences. I find myself looking at the one-of-a-kind setting and just admiring the natural beauty, but the course is excellent as well. The fairways are beautiful, the rough is well groomed, consistent from hole to hole and you pay a price for wayward shots. The greens are in great shape. Hats off to the course staff and management as this course gets a lot of play. I'll be back.

I play here regularly and keep coming back so what follows is a cumulative opinion and is meant to be constructive. Little things like the condition of grass on aprons of greens is poor. Type of sand, or maybe it's dirt, vary between bunkers as does the amount, or depth & fluffiness, of sand (or dirt). Seems to me they should be more uniform. Course is challenging and I enjoy playing it, but it could be improved.
