This course has always been the most difficult in the central Virginia area. It has been reopened with the fastest greens going.

Very friendly staff. The entire course is well maintained. It's the kind of course in which you feel mandated to pick up that one piece of trash you might see during a complete round. Greens where arrated three weeks back and are putting fine. The mayflys will worry you to death for about 10 days a year but if you call ahead they will honestly let you know their status. Enjoy.
The Hollows Golf Club - Lake/Cottage

Rain and snow has taken it's toll on the road course. Even the cart paths are a solid mud bog. The greens and fairways are 85% but they have lost the ruffs and paths. They'll get it back in spring but I would not recommend the course now.

Greens had just been aerated but there was no alert and there is still no alert even after calling VIP service?!?!?

The course is in great shape compared to 6 weeks ago. The greens are really decent, the fairways are we good and we caught pass are much better than they were when I played a few weeks back. Are they friendly staff to a course in decent shape and you have a great bargain on GolfNow.

This is the toughest course that we play in the central VA area. It takes a course of this magnitude to make a 20 handicapper like myself appreciate the other courses that we play regularly. It has been several years since we played this one and yes it plays a whole lot easier from the member/quest tees than the longer tees but it is still almost impossible at times. we were all successful in hitting two digits with one in the eighties and yes we will be back. A really fun butt kicking.

Especially this time of the year, the course is one of the best central Virginia public places to play and the price is right. I don't normally do reviews but this place deserves one.
