Challenging course, especially the greens

Nice course, somewhat challenging from tee to green and then it becomes real challenging. This is a Pete Dye course and the greens are a true Pete Dye masterpiece. Pace of play was great and due to Covid19 you are able to have your own cart if needed which was greatly appreciated. This is a very nice course and worth every penny no matter what rate you get. Enjoy and have fun.

Nice course, friendly and helpfull staff

Played this course on one of the hottest days. Teed off at 7:24 and finished at 11:10. Pace of play was great but because we were a twosome with foursomes ahead of us it seem slow and the temp did not help. Course was in good shape for this time of year. The tee boxes were air-rated (not a problem), some fairways and roughs had been air-rated. Plugs had been picked up so not an issue. Fairways had some bare spots as rye was dying and Bermuda had not filled in yet. Greens were in good shape but were slow compared to what I am used to. Would play here again.

Over priced

Course was in very good condition to the greens. Greens rolled pretty nice but no one fix's their ball marks. Course is not very challenging, pretty flat except for 2 holes, really wide fairways. Pace of play was perfect until the back nine which backed up, played in 4 1/2 hrs which for this course it should have been 3 1/2. Staff was friendly. For me, I would not play this course again due to the 45 minute drive for me but if you can get on this course in prime season for under $50 it would be worth it but would not pay anymore than that.

Nice course except for bunkers

Course in nice shape, greens rolled nice and where fast but the sand bunkers were not the best, very little sand in the bunkers I was in.

Nice Course depending on price

Pro Shop: Very friendly and helpful, check in was quick.

Starter: Really nice guy, very helpful, great asset to the club.

Course: In great shape, greens rolled nice but for me they were hard to read for some reason, lot of break on most putts. Layout on some holes kind of weird but mostly nice and changeling. First hole is a blind shot up a hill and then a short shot to the green, and is mostly golf cart path only until you are on top. What is really weird and dangerous is after finishing 18 the only way back to pro shop is down the cart path for hole #1 into people coming up hole #1. However this is a great course, will play again.

Maybe okay for the price but would not play again

Spend 6 months in AZ and live in Rio Verde and wanted to play some in-expensive courses out of my area as they are expensive. Trying different course's and gave this one a try. Price was great but you get what you pay for. This is mostly par 3's a few par 4's and one par 5 (I think as never finished the round). The fairways were okay, the greens were horrible but they did roll okay. Not sure what kind of grass on the greens but they looked dead, maybe Bermuda and dormant this time of year. Pace was unbearable as we waited around 3 to 5 minutes per shot on a twosome in front of us. They were older guys and was glad to see them out and playing so did not mind for awhile but after 12 holes we decided to quit. Would not play here again as we want better courses but for $16 its a good value. Not much money put into this course so in rough shape.

Nice Course for the money

Course in good shape, pace of play was excellent, probably because of being a Monday. Only minor complaint is that the greens were slow and I prefer fast greens.

Awsome Course

This is a great course, challenging and fun. We played it on the first day of opening (I think). Carts weren't allowed on the fairway, rough only between the cart path and fairway which was not a problem and still played in 4 hours and waiting on most holes on the back nine. Back nine was a little slower, I believe because the holes are more challenging. Pro Shop staff were friendly, as was the starter and cart guys. Will play again.

Great course and staff

Beautiful course, awesome views. This is a very tight course with 3 tee boxes. The back tees are 6,000 yards, so not long but very challenging, hit it straight off the tee. My wife and I were paired with two guys from Illinois who were great to play with and our pace of play was just under 4 hours. Maintenance crew on course were very courteous. We played in the afternoon, tee off at 12:39 and were surprised for the fast pace of play. Only minor negative was the green conditions, they were slow and a little bumpy and looked like the may have had some heat stress issues as there were light green spots over most greens. That said the greens in the afternoon can get a little slow. Would definitely play again.

Very nice, great views, nice amenties, challenging course

Played the Rance Course (first time). Course was in excellent shape, greens in great shape and rolled true. Lot of challenging holes, some with target golf. Would like to play the Peaks course next time. Highly recommend this club.

Nice course for what I paid

Nice course depending on what you pay, if you can get a tee time around noon to 1:00 for under $50 during prime season then good value.

Course is well maintained, greens roll nice and are true. Speed of play a little slow. Only complaint is that the ranger does not speed play up.
