Royal Ka'anapali
Played On 02/16/2023Great course and fun to play
Always a treat to play either course at Kaanapali. The Royal is a little more difficult but also more fun. Figuring out the slope and breaks on the greens is a lot of fun. Great views from many of the holes! Great staff and very good Course conditions.
Royal Ka'anapali
Played On 02/16/2023Fun course great pace of play
How can you complain when you're on vacation and play a 3 hr and 10 minute round. Rain in the forcast but held off all day. If you're on Maui there are no really bad courses. Just some are a little harder than others!
Aloha. You are spot on with your review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your round here at our Kaanapali Golf Courses. Sounds like a perfect day with a 3 hour round and great weather as well. Hope to see you back again soon! Mahalo.
Golf Summerlin - Palm Valley Course
Played On 04/09/2022Fun course but...
The staff in the pro shop and the bar all rate five stars! The on course rangers were very friendly. My only grip was the greens were serrated and sanded. I like the layout and 6200 yds was great for my game. Shot an 81 with serrated greens. I would play it again
Thanks so much for your wonderful review, aulusa. We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us. Please visit again soon. Thanks for choosing Golf Summerlin - Palm Valley Course!
Canyon Gate Country Club
Played On 11/12/2019Fun Las Vegas Course
I've spent the last two winters in Las Vegas and decided to join Canyon Gate. As a non-resident this course is one of the best values in town. You can play a 3 - 31/2 hour rounds at a private gated course that's always in great condition. We wrestle with the green speeds on uphill/downhill putts and our sand game needs to improve but if you want a fun golf experience and be greeted and helped by a friendly, courteous and professional staff then this is a great choice. The food is also very good with great service.
Bali Hai Golf Club
Played On 11/01/2018Great day in Las Vegas
This should be the blueprint for how a daily fee course should be run. We had a fun day on a fun course and were so well treated by everyone. The bag drop guys were helpful. The pro shop gave me a credit for a round when one of our foursome couldn't make it. We had Dan as our caddy and he was very helpful and ran his butt off. If you are looking for a great time in Las Vegas away from the casinos Bali hai will make you smile. Great job to the entire team!
The Classic Club
Played On 03/16/2018Great course
This has to be one of the nicest and most fun courses to playin the valley. .Wide open fairways, plenty of bunkers and greens with plenty of grain to mess with your putting. Sand traps were terrible! The afternoon we played there was a Div 3 ladies tournament that was ahead of us that turned a fun round into a 5 hour round. Great golf course!
Firecliff at Desert Willow Golf Resort
Played On 03/12/2018Great course tough but fun
Other than the pace of play this course is a winner. You can expect slow play on a resort course because of the mix of players and handicaps.
Waikoloa Beach Resort - Beach Course
Played On 03/02/2018Nice friendly course with a bite
Fun course without all of the elevation changes or out of bounds. Plenty of traps to get in your way and slippery green with sneaky breaks. The resort tees were a good choice for a 14 who hasn’t swung a club since Oct. very fair course for the wives.
Rustic Canyon Golf Course
Played On 01/27/2018Tough course, tough conditioning , very windy
The title says it all - Rustic Canyon. If this course got some much needed rain and watering and the maintence that would require it would go from a 3 Star to a 5 Star Course. Of course then we’d be paying $150 to play. Fun but very challenging. Greens are very hard and most approach shots do t hold the green. The putting surface would take a few rounds to figure out- maybe. Yes play it if you can get up there from LA but be prepared.
Wailea Golf Club - Old Blue Course
Played On 03/10/2017AULUSA
Played after 2:00PM for $115 in 3 1/2 hours. Much rather play Old Blue than either course in Kanapali. Wide fairways in great shape. Layout is fair enough test for avg player. My wife almost broke a hundred from the gold tees. The greens are pretty quick and have a lot of subtle breaks that are hard to pick up if you only get to play the course 1-2 times each year. Great value for a very good golf course!
Maui Nui Golf Club
Played On 03/06/2017AULUSA
One of the best values for golf on Maui. I like playing this course but you can run into trouble if you stray off the fairway. Don't be adverse to playing with another couple. We have had fun with every twosome we have been paired with.
Aloha aulusa
Thank you for your kind review. We feel that pairing couples up results in a lot of fun both parties and hopefully great stories for you to share about your Maui Nui golfing experience.
Ka'anapali Kai
Played On 02/24/2017Kanapali Kai
Can't really say anything bad about the course. The Royal is in better condition ( same grounds crew?). The Kai course might be more friendly for the average golfer. My wife played from the Fern tees and it was quite challenging for her. If you are staying in west Maui you only have four courses to choose and Kai is the least expensive. My only complaint are the bunkers. I'm no expert but that's not sand looks and plays more like dirt. It's also inconsistent in depth. I was in about three traps during the round and it took awhile to get it thru my thick head how to play a chip shot out of the bunkers. Personally I like Kahili Golf Club.
Aloha friend. We will be sure to let our team know you enjoyed your round of golf with us. We hope to see you again soon. A Hui Hou (until we meet again)!
