Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club
Played On 08/09/2018I'd play it again
I have to say that under $40 for a 6:00 a.m. tee off cannot be beat. Stone bridge usually is the best in this category, the course was in very good shape the greens were true, I still have a bit of a problem with some of the fairways being roped off especially when I get a cart. I gave pace of play 5 stars because we were the 1st group off. I thought we did pretty good as a 3 some for 3 hours and 20 minutes but the foursome behind us didn't think so. I'd recommend this course
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/03/2018Kinda disappointed
This courses is usualy always in really good shape, except this time the tee boxes were beat up and nobody fixes their ball marks on the green. Looks like there was tap dancing done with metal spikes on the most of the greens. PICK UP your feet people. There was a group playing music in their cart, which was pretty annoying. I gave it a 5 for value for the $$$, only cause I teed off at 2 o'clock in the afternoon with high humidity. I would have been highly disappointed... if I paid the full rate and had the same conditions. Guess I'll have to stick to the early morning rounds.
Mill Pond Golf Course
Played On 07/21/2018Good course in good shape
This course is pretty much always in good shape have had a few problems here in the past but nothing to sway my vote of a 4 star. I would definitely recommend it.
Cherry Creek Golf - The Links Course
Played On 07/07/2018Always in great shape
I like every aspect of this course, it is always in great shape, the greens are true, the tee boxes are kept well, and the fairways are always very good. Been playing about 20 years and I can recall one time this course was in bad shape.
Pine Hills Country Club
Played On 06/26/2018Always in great shape
I was very impressed in how great shape this courses was in. It has always been very well kept from the first time I played it. I remember the trees being planted along the 18th hole by the diving range back in the 90's The greens were true and flawless, and the fairway like a rug.
The Champions Club at Summerfield
Played On 04/11/2018Looks really good from the outside
When I booked this tee time for 3:00 in the afternoon, the slots were wide open from 2 on. When I went to pay, the guy had the personality of a broken tee and seemed to care less if I was there or not. The cart guy who was nowhere to be found, showed up after I loaded my own cart and was on the way to the 1st tee, told me that my card had to be returned by 730. That's 4 and a 1/2 hours later for a single on a wide open course which made me scratch my head. The course itself wasn't too bad, the tee boxes were a little beat up as were the greens, yet they were flat and true. There was a huge sign out front stating breakfast lunch and dinner, When I returned my cart, a little after 6, don't know if was the same cart guy or not , but he was helping another guy who just got finished playing in a T-shirt, I actually thought they both worked there. I asked if the restaurant was open and he told me it was closed ,so much for dinner. I actually played a decent round so I'm not taking this out on anybody just telling it like it was.
The Florida Club
Played On 04/11/2018I'd play it again
This course was in pretty decent shape, the oohs and ahhhs I've read about the changes and renovations they made don't make a difference to me because it was the 1st time have a played it. The greens however were very hard and did not hold the ball, yet true and in good shape....over all the course was good and I would play it again
Mill Pond Golf Course
Played On 10/28/2017I'd recommend
This course was in the best shape I have seen it in a long time!... even though the greens were a aerated about 2 weeks ago they were just a tad bumpy but still true.... the fairways are like the carpet I definitely recommend playing this course before The Season's end
Keith Hills Golf Club - White Course
Played On 10/25/2017I'd recommend
Even though this course is wide open I found the orange to be the toughest and the white to be the easiest. There are some holes that will challenge you and there are some holes that won't.... if you play smart and even you will have a good round. The greens were true and in good shape. I would definitely recommend these courses.
The Preserve at Jordan Lake Golf Club
Played On 10/17/2017I'd recommend
This course has a very interesting layout and will be very challenging to your game. I would have gave it five stars... but on the way that I shot I took one away. Greens were in excellent shape but to me very hard to read and quick. Both your drives and your second shotsmust be kept in play... there is no forgiveness here. I would recommend this course to at least challenge yourself.
Pine Hills Country Club
Played On 10/06/2017I'd recommend
This course has always been one of my favorites ...it is always in great shape and the greens are always true and quick and also in great shape. I would definitely recommend this course. Grabbing a bite to eat or a beer on the outside patio after a round is also a plus.
Willow Creek Golf & Country Club
Played On 10/04/2017Interesting layout
If any course on Long Island has the right to charge top dollar, Willow Creek does. The course is always an excellent shape and it has an excellent layout, but there are many courses on Long Island that are in excellent shape for a much less price. Unless you catch the right price at Willow Creek, I would choose one of the other many courses on the island that are in excellent shape $100 plus is just a little too rich for my blood for the weekend to play.
Cherry Creek - The Woods Course
Played On 09/09/2017Highly disappointed
I have played this course many times in the past and was never disappointed. I understand that greens need to be aerated but I would like a warning that they have been aerated. Also it seems like there was more sand on the greens than there was in the traps. This totally ruined my round... I would give it a while before I recommend this course.
Dogwood/Oak Tree at Middle Island Country Club
Played On 08/26/2017Interesting layout
After playing here several years I can see the money that they have put into this course and have made great changes to improve it. I think perhaps it's just that my golf game has elevated and I would rather play on much more pristine courses that don't cost much more than what I paid for Middle Island. Don't like being penalized for missing the green by just a bit and having to chip off of crabgrass or patches of dirt. The sand bunkers on the Dogwood were mostly dirt and not sand. They have been that way for a while. The fairways were Immaculate and the greens were just fair and true. I guess if my game was so elevated I'd be hitting greens and Fairways and wouldn't have a beef. I hate to give this course a negative review ,so I will say this, if you have never played it, it is definitely worth a shot.
Cherry Creek Golf - The Links Course
Played On 08/19/2017Cart path only
Even though it did rain quite a bit the night before and the sand traps were filled with water. I just don't get car paths only. I understand staying off the Fairway is a must especially for this course as it is always in excellent shape... but why don't they have you ride the rough, this way if you slice a ball you could ride the right rough and if you hook one you can ride the left rough staying off the fairways. If I was given the option of a pull cart instead of riding and to pay that price, I would have been happy. wasn't playing today for exercise but rather for sport. Sorry I just feel I needed to vent..... I will still make the 45-minute ride to play this course again I would recommend it
Sadly so many people floor it that you can tear up the rough as well, I would assume they were being safe instead of sorry, others seem to feel this course is in pretty good shape, this policy may have something to do with that. Think I'll play there today to find out!
Regulation Eighteen at Smithtown Landing Golf Club
Played On 07/29/2017Interesting layout
Played this round in the afternoon which I've never really do, which says a lot about the slower play. The Greens were a little beat up, they were a little bumpy I didn't find them to be true. Other than that it was pretty good I would recommend this course
River Run Golf Course
Played On 05/18/2017I'd recommend
Other than a couple of holes here and there, the only challenge to this course was that the fairways were tight and you had to be accurate. The course was in excellent shape and the greens as well, very true. I wouldn't pay full price for this course, I got it at half price online which is why I put a good value for the buck. But would definitely recommend playing it.
Ocean Pines Golf Club
Played On 05/17/2017I'd recommend
If you're coming down to Ocean City and haven't played for a while, I would recommend this course to be the first one you play. It has it's challenging holes, but was the most forgiving of the 3 courses we played. Greens were true, and in good shape along with the fairways and tee boxes.

Eagle's Landing

Course was in good condition, a lot of marsh area so you need to be accurate. Greens were undulating ,true and in great condition. I'd recommend
Cherry Creek - The Woods Course
Played On 09/17/2016green aeration
The greens here and at the links are usually in excellent shape. This is why my rating is so low. If they would have made amends with the price because of the aeration, my rating might have been different. The greens were in horrible condition, cost me regular price and about 5 strokes.
tom718,
We are sorry to see this review come in. If you book online we make sure to adjust pricing if there is aeration in order to make it fair for our golfers! We hope you give us another shot soon.
Best regards,
The Woods at Cherry Creek
We find this review troubling, and shocking. The Champions Club prides itself on fantastic customer service. The greens were beat up up yet true? A Tom Fazio design with flat greens? Dinner is offered on certain evenings. The Champions Club does not allow tee shirts on the golf course. The staff uniform is a Foot-Joy blue shirt with khaki or black shirts with matching Champions Club hat. Certainly not a tee shirt. Champions Club employees pride themselves on stellar customer service. We hope to see you again soon.
