Solid Course - Great Value

Swiss Fairways isn't a difficult course by most measures. The holes are average in length and there aren't too many difficult hazards, although a couple of tee shots over their water skiing course make for a fun twist. The fairways are nice and wide and kept up pretty well. The greens were extremely fast the day that I played, but it was my first time so I can't speak to whether or not that is the norm. There's not much in the way of a clubhouse or anything there, but the staff were extremely friendly. I'd play this course again for the value in a heartbeat.

Long and Straight

If you plan to play this course, make sure you can hit your driver. Most of the holes were long and straight, but that's not to say they were easy. While the fairways were easy enough to find, the distance made for some tough going (mainly because I couldn't hit my driver for anything, so maybe that's on me). The course also does and excellent job of protecting the pin with hills and bunkers, rarely leaving a clean look at the hole from the tee box. I would definitely play this course again, especially at the great rate I got from GolfNow, but I'll definitely be working on my driver first.

Great Par 3 Course

The Ridge Course at Kings Ridge is a pretty nice Par 3 with more elevation changes than you'd typically find at such a short course. I played on a Saturday with a tee time just after noon and didn't run into anyone ahead or behind me until the 16th hole, which was great. A cart is a must for this course, as the path takes you all throughout the back half of the neighborhood (I estimate about 3-3.5 miles of walking). There aren't a lot of fairways and there are plenty of bunkers, but they're well maintained and I was able to make the green on several shots. Not a lot of room to the sides as the course runs right up against a residential area, so make sure you bring a couple extra balls if you tend to slice. Overall, very playable course - rates were extremely reasonable on Golf Now.
