Eagle Dunes Golf Club

This is my home course since I live on property. I love this course really. My handicap is about a10 and this course is challenging which is what it should be when the wind picks up makes a completely different course becomes extremely challenging some may not like but as a person who strives to get better I welcome it. Probably best Greens in the area, that says a lot considering Timacuan, and red tail are neighbors. The layout is great for all handicaps the challenge comes in when you want to play precision golf and go after the flag. If your a bogey player you will enjoy yourself a great deal. If your par or below you will love the challenge it is very much a course management style of play, grip it and rip it on a couple of holes but for the most part pick your spots. Holes 4,9,12,17,18 are your go for it holes grip it and rip it. All others THINK FIRST. best and most accurate review you will get. Hopefully you read it all. Have fun and hit them straight. No I don't work for the course just love it that much. Oh by the way one negative if there is one, if you play on a Thursday call them up and ask if the moonlight tour is playing there that day, if they are it throws off the whole pace of play with the pro's playing there that day. But if they play there then you can imagine how nice the course is and the challenge.
Mayfair Country Club
Played On 04/21/2017The course needs class
Look the course is owned by the city. All they want are booked tee times. Cheap price its just not a good place to play to many people drinking and carrying on. There is no courtesy if you hit your ball chances are someone will pick it up before you get to it. Save your money

Eagle Dunes, one of the above average courses north of Orlando. Awesome challenging layout with spectacular greens. To me greens are what make or break a course there greens are about an 11 on the stint they roll well and are kept in great shape. Wont find a better deal for the price.
The Country Club at Deer Run
Played On 02/19/2017Definitely not 4 stars
Played a round there because i saw its 4 star rating on Golf advisor. As someone who plays competitively a course is judged on its greens you can get away with a sub par (no pun) fairway but the greens should roll. Unfortunately there greens full of patches, dips uneveness, and ball markings. They were also a bit furry which made it difficult to judge speed. Halfway decent place to get some target practice and practice getting out of trouble, but 4 stars it is not. To put it in perspective Timicuan is 4 stars and they hold the U.S open qualifier there, soooooo take my review as you like. Hit them well. At best 3
Deltona Club

This is truly a hidden gem. There is no water anywhere good open play challenging for all skill levels. The greens are as good as anywhere that charges 100+ to play. Go check them out.
The Country Club of Mount Dora
Played On 10/14/2015Short n sweet
Pleseantly surprised, we didnt know what to expect when we showed up but we were greeted with a friendly staff, the greens ran true. Short course at 6500 yards from the tips but dont let it fool you it is a course to think about ball placement Vs distance.
