For an executive course it had some severe penalties for an unknowledgable patron. Mostly on the back 9, starting with 10 I landed on the green the ball fell off the right side went down the hill and into the lake. Trying to fish the ball out the bank was so steep that my club also rolled down the hill and into the water. We had the same a little later on a different hole. The fairways had a lot of weeds and the greens were hairy and slow

This is a nice mature course. Its trees will make you pay for the errant shot, but the course is very fair. You need a guide or gps to know where the hazards are. The greens are fast and very hard to read. Overall I enjoyed my round and would play here again, hopefully the fairways will be in better shape

I really like this course but the pace of play drags it down. Only ranger we saw all day was the starter. Otherwise this is a excellent course

I like this course’s variety. A lot of different type holes and wildlife. Course has a lot of water so my golf partner didn’t like it. Definitely one of those courses that you need to get to know before you know where to hit it

This course was beautifully conditioned with fast smooth undulating greens, but every hole was straight away with bunkers on both sides and protecting the greens

Absolutely loved this course. It’s the 21st course we’ve played in the area and it is my new favorite.

This is a very challenging course as well as aesthetically pleasing . We played in a 20-30 mph wind so it was even more difficult. Most of the holes are fairly isolated so you aren’t dealing with stray shots from other holes. The group in front of us were extremely slow, but we still enjoyed the course even though it ate our lunch

This is a nice golf course. Several holes were tight and the water came into play even if you didn’t see it. Hard to play 1st time because you need to know where to hit it. The greens were much slower than I’ve gotten used to in Florida. The layout kept you on your toes navigating

This is a fun course to play and it has gorgeous views of the river

When playing this course be prepared for fast greens. Challenging course that doesn’t sneak up on you it’s all right in front of you

I like this course even though it’s a little farther than we like to travel. We have found that this course is with the extra drive

This course is really laid out well. You might get lost on the back 9 as it meanders on the other side of the golf course. Which is fine as you feel that the hole you are playing is by itself. You may get to see parachuters on the back 9.

This course has awesome greens! The views of the river are fantastic.

I won’t be returning to play here. Our tee time was for 7:30am but the pro shop didn’t open up till 7:30. The layout and signage is horrible. The grass cutters didn’t start until after 8. Then on the 6th hole we were told we had to leave that 9 (blue) because they had to turn on the sprinklers. Also we were told we could not play the red course because they had to run the sprinklers there. We were only allowed to play the white course which a couple of the locals had told us was the worst of the 3 nines. Then once we again reached the 6th hole they needed to turn the sprinklers on for that course. We were the only golfers that we saw all day except the 2 locals we talked to while waiting for the pro shop to open, I wonder why

Challenging layout was countered by the aerated greens. Several courses in the area are aerating this time of year but Duran uses dime sized aeration holes which make putting a joke.

I really like this course it’s challenging yet easy to navigate. Even the sour puss staff don’t ruin the experience.

I definitely need to return to this course. Despite the desk person and starter seeming like they had a sour breakfast, the greens recently aerated, and a lot of the tees under reconstruction . We had a very pleasant round of golf. I really like the remoteness of each hole especially the back 9 and the variety of holes. I’ll be back.

Fairways were decent, greens were good. But the pace of play was horrible. I found the layout to be very challenging as there was water I.play on nearly every shot which created some tight tee shots. We were frequented by the beverage girl more often than on any other course but she was knowledgeable to the game and was never an annoyance

This was my first time playing this course I was impressed by the layout . Unfortunately I had a lot of time to check it out as we had groups on the green, in the fairway, and on the tee on nearly every hole
