The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes
Played On 01/02/2017Awesome Course
Loved the layout and conditions of the course. Definitely a step up from other courses in the area (nicer than Grand Cypress and Celebration). Great practice area. Definitely worth playing particularly if you can get a cheaper tee time (I paid $80).
Hawk's Landing Golf Club
Played On 08/20/2016Great Course
This was an excellent course. My round was $45. Pace of play was great. The course is tight and challenging. The greens could be faster, but they do roll very true. I would definitely play this course again.
Waldorf Astoria Golf Club
Played On 07/02/2016Great Experience
Played this past Saturday. It was cart path only so pace of play was slower (mainly because of other people in my group, not the group ahead). It took 4.5 hours to get around. The course was fantastic and in excellent shape. The amenities at the course are great. There is complimentary coffee and pastries and of course the mango scented cold towel at the end of the round. Definitely would play again. I liked the track better than the Four Seasons, but the carts aren't quite as plush.
Grand Cypress Golf Club - Links Course
Played On 12/12/2015Would definitely play again
Grand Cypress was overall a fantastic experience. Complimentary valet parking. More of a clubhouse/country club feel than other resorts. I've never been to Scotland, but I think this course might give you a bit of a taste. Tightly mown fairways that were super wide. There was no/minimal rough in play. The greens were undulating and in great condition, and you had the ability to putt the ball from way off the green on some holes. The only bad thing was that the group in front of us should not have been playing that course; particularly on a Saturday. They probably extended our round by 90 minutes. That said, I would certainly play again
Celebration Golf Club
Played On 10/09/2015Enjoyable but could have been better
I just moved to Florida and my country club course where I used to live was a RTJ course so it was nice to be back on one. I'm a 15 handicap and played from the gold tees and shot 85. The course is in pretty good shape-greens were smooth; some tee boxes were pretty beat up though. It was packed today, and the round took 5 hours (teed off at 11, finished at 4, played with 3 other OK players). There seemed to be hundreds of people at the course (there were a ton of juniors who I think were there for league play). They were doing a lot of mowing and blowing of grass today, which was a major turn-off. Unlike a private club, the blowers don't stop when you are playing the hole or even driving by. Much of the front 9 was spent wiping grass out of my eyes. They could definitely improve on that. I would play the course again all that said.
