Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 04/05/2015Very satisfied
If you hit a fade then this course sets up well for you. Almost every hole plays left to right off the tee which makes placing tee shots a challenge for draws. Otherwise this was a excellent little track. Well maintained, beautiful scenery, green were rolling very smooth. For the money, I paid 32 for 8:00 am tee time, it is hard to beat. Would enjoy playing here again

This is a great course. Great place to practice when it's not overrun with golf academy kids. Greens were recently punched but they still rolled well. The greens are the nicest part of this course. Some rough spots on the fairway but nothing to get too crazy about. Can't beat this place for the money. The atmosphere is laid back here, not stuffy like a country club... If the fairways were a little more plush I'd have no complaints. But overall the course is in good shape

This is a beautiful course. Not the longest track but I don't play from 7k yards anyways. The best part of the course is how well maintained the greens and the area around the greens are. Everything is perfectly manicured. Greens are challenging but the roll true. I'm cheap so I only ever play courses when I can get on for less than $40 but this is a course I don't mind paying a little extra for. If you can find a hot deal, it's definitely a good deal

First of all the course itself is not bad albeit nothing special, the layout was pretty straight forward. Although there were some patchy areas the fairways were in decent shape and the green were among the best I've seen at this price point. Very smooth and rolled true.
The bad part was the pace of play. Absolutely horrible, by the third hole not only were we waiting to tee off, we were waiting on the group ahead to tee off and get out of the way, and it was like that every hole. There was no ranger out there making groups pick up the pace and the drink cart didnt make an appearance until the 9th hole!? 2 of the players in our foursome quit and left after 12 holes due to the pace of play so I can confidently say it is not worth the money even as cheap ($35) as we got out there for. I would never recommend this course to anyone. Also this really shouldn't mean anything but they didnt even have carts ready for us when we got there so that was my first tip that this might not be the most professionally run golf course.
If groups are falling behind pace and playing slowly it is absolutely the golf courses fault. They are in charge of everything that happens on that course. There is no excuse for them allowing that. Well run courses monitor the pace of play and ask you to pick up the pace if you are behind schedule.
if the people who play in front of you are just slow and don't know how to play its not the courses fault. You could have said something and there. done.
In all fairness to the course, the reviewer was playing on a Saturday in season. Almost every central Florida course is this way in those conditions.
