Palmbrook Golf Club
Played On 11/29/2021Getting Ready
The practice green and driving range are very well maintained with supplied golf balls. The inside bar area has fine snack food and the young lady that is there is very personable and takes your order with a smile and a greeting. The course is maintained well with several large trees and I found some of them with my drives. The greens were a little rough, but certainly manageable. You will enjoy your round.

Arizona Biltmore Golf Club - Estates Course
Played On 02/15/2021Topnotch Views
I was struck by the view of the mountains as I teed off several holes and of the mansions along the holes. I didn't need any errant shots today! The Adobe course is tight in regard to greens and adjoining teeboxes. The course was green and well maintained. The fairways were generous, but trees could come into play. The bunkers were fair and allowed you to hit good sand shots. The greens putted very well even though I was told 550 people played the course this Monday holiday. Although I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, it appeared very popular. This is a very charming course to play.
Union Hills Golf & Country Club
Played On 12/26/2020Enjoyable Afternoon
My son from Mesa and I played this course on a sunny afternoon. The fairways are fairly wide and doglegs can be interesting on par fours. The ponds are water filled so some par threes need to be navigated carefully. The greens were slow the last time a few weeks I played, but are faster now. The putting green and driving range is very nice. The staff are very friendly. The hotdogs, burgers and brats were in an outdoor location which provided a "homey" atmosphere. I would hardily recommend this fair priced golf course.
Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia
Played On 01/12/2018Great course for everyone.
The fairways were lush and the greens were very true. The par 3's were a lot of fun to hit to with a variety of clubs. I really enjoyed the last one with the water surrounding it. It was a great day for golf!
Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
Played On 01/10/2018Fun Day
The course fairways and greens were in fine shape. The par 3's were inviting and fair to play. Our round was a bit slow, but hey, I am retired and the afternoon was gorgeous. I certainly would play again soon.

The first four holes cause you to think what club you will want to use. I enjoy the water features as long as I stay out of them. The front nine have large green fairways. The greens have some devilish breaks and my putting didn't help me address them! The back nine begins your desert fun. One hole has a beautiful church pew bunkering and several give you small targets for greens. The last hole gives you a wonderful view of the Valley. The greens were a little bumpy in places but didn't detract from the fun golfing experience.

The course was in good shape. The greens were very true. The fairways had good grass and the rough was weed free. Water comes into play on the last couple of holes. The food is excellent. I suggest the hamburger! Our group enjoyed the day.

I had played this course several times in the six years I have been coming to Arizona. The maintenance of the course is practically non existent. You would be hard pressed to find a course with more weeds right off the fairways. The sand bunkers have rocks and are shallow. Tree limbs are broken and never cut down. The grass on most of the fairways is thin. The tees are lacking good grass, but the greens are mostly OK to putt on. I won't be back.
Wigwam Resort - Red Course
Played On 01/19/2017Course to Ourselves
We were able to upgrade our tee time due to cooler weather and the possibility of showers. The clubhouse people didn't charge us the greater price for moving us up either. That was appreciated as was the informative course marshall. The fairways on the course were in great shape. The front nine greens are spotty, but rolled pretty true. The back nine greens were better. Both rolled fast. The fairways were wide so it made it easier to stay in the lush green grass. Most holes are pretty straight forward, but #18 is a challenge. It is a quick left dogleg with water left and right. I used a 3 wood off the tee. We enjoyed our day on the course and look forward to the Wigwam courses, snacks (good hot dogs), and hospitality.

They reportedly had renovated to the tune of $100,000. I'm not sure where? Most greens were puttable, but others were too filled with duck droppings and ragged. Fairways were OK, but nothing too write home about. The water on the back nine is where the ducks congregated, especially the one par three. The clubhouse, patio, and personnel were the best things at this course.

This course has had some updating and they are all positive. If you play from the tips you better be a pretty good golfer! We played from the orange tees. They were having a tour tournament when we played and some of the pin placements were really challenging! Most of the fairways were lush and green. The greens were quick and often large.
The water holes were lacking water, but my ball still found some twice. The sand is some of the best I have played from which tells you something about my game! Pretty course to play.
Westbrook Village Golf Club - Lakes Course
Played On 01/25/2016It is not called the Lakes for nothing!
The fairways were in fine condition as were the tee boxes. The course has undulating fairways and they dogleg here and there. The 9th hole is fun to play because of the water. Be aware that the fringe of the fairway can propel your ball extra distance. The greens were pretty true even after many players our day had played.
Westbrook Village Golf Club - Vistas Course
Played On 01/22/2016Sandless sandtraps
This course was fun to play. Fairways were in good shape and the tee boxes were level. The greens were good to putt on and large. The par 3's were some long ones from the tips! The only thing I didn't care for was that the sand bunkers were just about sandless. You had to pick your ball instead of letting the sand do the job.
Corte Bella Golf Club

The course was very enjoyable to play. The par threes were some of the best i have played down here in the Valley. Some were lengthy and surrounded by water or large sand bunkers. The greens were true for putting. I look forward to playing this challenging course again.
San Tan Highlands
Played On 12/31/2015This course is good for the price.
The first nine holes take you through desert areas while the second none takes you through more homes. The par threes are at different distances so you don't always get to use the same club. The greens were pretty true for putting. I liked this course very much. You have the practice balls ready for you when you are ready to practice. Nice feature. The carts have GPS so this helps you .
Longbow Golf Club
Played On 07/14/2015Summer conditions
My son and i played this course for the first time. I have enjoyed golf fests here at the Longbow in the past. The greens had recently been aerated and sanded, but the greens were still pretty true. I really didn't notice much difference with the way I usually putt! Each green had large bunkers and many undulating approaches. The landing zones are spacious and the front nine has some great water holes. The temperature was 110 degrees so we had the course pretty much to ourselves. We could have played all day for $20. It is a wonderful course to play and I really should play in the winter. I have played many courses in the Valley and this is one of the best.
Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course

My son and I played the South course. The fairways were wide and well maintained for summertime. The greens were not difficult greens to judge your roll. Some holes had some nice water features. This was a very enjoyable round of golf.
Pebblebrook Golf Course
Played On 02/26/2015Enjoyable course
This course resembles other courses in the area. The fairways and greens were in very good condition. The play was slow , but steady. All the tee times were covered with threesomes and foursomes. We enjoyed the day because our group was leaving to return to the cold tundra of South Dakota!

I found this course fun to play. The fairways were in excellent condition and the showers that frequented the area during our play made the "roll" minimal. The greens rolled true and were not gigantic like some I have played in the valley. The par 3's can be challenging when playing from the tips! Several doglegs make you wonder what is "around the bend." You will need an old club if you play from off the fairway. We played "pick and place" since we didn't want to scuff our clubs. Eat lunch there if you can. Their beef and cheddar burger was awesome. This course is the best deal in the Valley this time of year.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Palmbrook Country Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
