Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course
Played On 07/23/2021$120 wasted
Course is usually in pretty good condition however in it’s current condition, no way anyone should pay $120 for this. Greens were fluffy and dreadfully slow. Fairways were hard and burnt out. I love the layout and location, but needs a lot of work to be worth the amount of money needed.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - El Campeon Course
Played On 06/12/2021Hectic start, amazing course
Course staff was late getting there and short some help so getting started was a challenge. Once on the tee, it was perfect. Played behind a slow group but you’ll find that at any golf course in America. The layout was awesome, conditions were nearly perfect. Greens were punched a week ago and weren’t quite healed all the way but still ran fast and true. Apparently the greenskeepers wife beat on him the night before because some of the pin locations were insane but not unfair. I will be back as often as I can.

Played On 06/09/2021Good resort golf, layout change isn’t ideal
The staff were great. Very helpful and informative. The course was in good condition considering the greens were aerated recently. There was a good bit of maintenance being done but that’s what you get when you play in the middle of the week. The layout change is weird and makes the finishing hole a short par 3 which I’m not a big fan of. Was worth the money though and one of my go to spots when I’m down in Orlando.
University of Georgia Golf Course
Played On 02/28/2021Great track, poor info from GolfNow
Course is amazing. Layout can be as tough as you want to handle. Only issue was the greens were freshly aerated. It’s no fault of the course, it’s that time of year. I wish GolfNow would have given an aerification alert and I would have waited a few weeks for them to heal.
Jennings Mill Country Club
Played On 09/07/2020Great conditions, tough greens. 1 stupid hole
Overall the course is awesome. Played it from 6600 yards and was long enough to be rough. Landing zones for some tee shots were really tight and required a lot of focus. The greens were hard and fast and in great shape. Only complaint is the 9th hole. It might be the dumbest layout for a par 5 I’ve ever seen. Tee shot requires something less than 200 yard layup to a 500 yard hole. Other than that hole, loved every bit of this course.

I’ve played over 100 golf courses this year and this was by far the worst I’ve seen so far. Start at the beginning, the pro shop was an empty space. No gear, clubs or much of anything inside.
Next, the course....
The layout is goofy and doesn’t set up well from any of the offered tee boxes. So many short holes that require an iron off the tee, but landing areas that are so narrow and slanted that even a good tee shot has a good chance of being in the woods.
Course conditions....
Shut this course down and start over. Most tee boxes were just sand with a few weeds mixed in. Fairways were dead and too hard to make even a shallow divot without the potential of breaking a wrist or a shaft.
Bunkers were hard with a sprinkle of loose sand on top.
The greens were awful. They had to have been arrested at some point in the past and not cared for ever since. Grass growing back in deep ruts that often didn’t allow you to putt at the hole without it veering far off course.
Cart paths were so broken apart, several times if you didn’t slow down to a crawl you risked going airborne.
It was embarrassing to bring my out of town guest to this dump and I can assure you we won’t be returning.
Would have been better taking my money and lighting it on fire in the parking lot.
Hello. Thank you for taking the time to review the course. We take single star feedback very serious at our course. Please reach out to our team in the golf shop. We always appreciate the feedback. Thank you for playing Smoke Rise Country Club.
Thank you for your feedback. Our maintenance staff are working hard to improve conditions and we apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We have many projects ongoing right now, including dredging of our irrigation pond, so tee boxes and fairways can be irrigated on a more regular basis. Please call the golf shop and ask for the Head Golf Professional if you would like further details.

Southbridge Golf Club
Played On 07/28/2018Nice Layout, needs renovation
Course itself was ok. Was a little soggy but course got a good bit of rain so that was expected. Previous review mentioned cart paths and they were truly terrible. I put covers on my clubs and it’s a good thing or line would be damaged. The tee box issue is what I can’t wrap my head around. The blue tee markers were only offered on a handful of holes and never quite knew which we were supposed to be playing. Overall considering price, it’s not a bad option here in Savannah. Next time I might take the drive to Hilton Head instead though.
The Chimneys Golf Course
Played On 07/08/2018Beautiful course, slowest greens in Atlanta
This course is manicured and managed almost perfectly. It’s a shame to waste such a great track with greens that are so dang slow. It takes a full swing to get a 15 foot putt to the hole. I hope they can somehow get them rolling better in the future.
Bay Point Resort - Nicklaus Course
Played On 04/21/2018Course has fallen apart
I’ve always been a big fan of this facility. It’s always been my first choice when we visit PCB, but I will be finding other options in the future. The driving range was mostly a gravel lot. A few of my clubs are now permanently scuffed. The course itself was dry and hard as a rock. The fairways had recently been airrated which we weren’t notified when booking. Greens were great as they always are, but the rest of the course was extremely dry and hard. There are too many other options in the area to pay good $ for those conditions.
Twelve Stones Golf Club
Played On 02/26/2018Soggy but fun
Nashville has received a ton of rain lately so the course was almost underwater. All things considered though, it was a nice track. Medium length from the back tees and interesting layout. The greens were the best thing about the course and they rolled true all day. One big downer is the lack of a restaurant. I held off getting food before my round expecting to grab a sandwich at the course only to be told the restaurant closed down two weeks ago. Had a lot of fun though and is very much worth the money.
Reunion Country Club
Played On 02/15/2018Beautiful but tough
Course was amazing. The layout was challenging but fair and the greens rolled out perfectly. It was cart path only because of all the rain but I didn’t mind the walking.
Pembroke Lakes Golf & Racquet Club
Played On 02/05/2018Beautiful course, horrible staff
The pro shop staff were indifferent and provided little help for someone who has never been there. Here were no carts available for 30 minutes after my arrival and finally got one as I teed off. There was no Marshall on the course to help keep up the pace. At one point there were 4 groups on each of the last 4 holes. The course itself was challenging from the back tees and in good shape.
Ashton Hills Golf Club
Played On 09/23/2017Great Condition, pace slow
Course is in great shape. Greens were firm and fast, and fairways were in great shape. Only problem was the pace of play. They let out a dog fight group at 9:00 am on a Saturday and they crawled along. Round took 5.5 hours and if not for the dog fight, we would have flown around the course. Still a great time just cut into my football Saturday.
Lakemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course
Played On 03/17/2016God Awful Greens
I know it's early spring/late winter so the grass is just beginning to green up, however, the greens were unplayable. At one point, the lady I was playing with hit a putt and the ball hopped up a foot in the air because of the greens conditions. Course was cart path only even though it hadn't had significant rain in over a week. Bunkers were washed out all over the place, fairways hadn't been cut in days. I don't know what's going on at Stone Mountain but it used to be the place to play. Now it is in shambles. Such a shame.
Stonemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course
Played On 09/11/2015Under Construction
A little warning would be nice if are replacing 5 greens. Temporary greens in fairways are not ideal. Course hasn't been mowed in a while so they cut the fairways in the morning. Grass clippings were 3 inches deep all over the fairways. Rough was unplayable. Wish I would have gone elsewhere.
Monroe Golf & Country Club
Played On 08/12/2015Great layout, group size horrible
Course conditions were ideal. Fairways were great and the greens were fast but in great condition. Staff was friendly and very helpful. My only issue is with the size of the groups they allow to play. On the back nine I was forced to play through or wait on a group of 7, group of 6 and a group of 5. There was no ranger to break these groups up and it really impacted the pace of play.
The Georgia Club - Chancellors Red/Black Course
Played On 03/24/2015Great course, longest day ever
First time playing here, course and facilities are amazing. Treat you well from the parking lot to the tee box. However, they sent me off as a single wedged between several foursomes. Stuck behind the ladies group and took over 2.5 hours to play 9 holes. Do us all a favor and close the course till they are done. No reason they should take that long to play nine.
Hi there, thank you so much for coming out to experience The Georgia Club! We do apologize you were wedged between these groups and it had slowed down your play. We do hope to see you again soon and treat you to a great experience!
I'm sorry that you weren't made aware of our recent green aeration back in February. I understand how annoying that is. Thanks to that aeration, the greens are now in fantastic shape. I hope you will come back and give us another try!
