Course was in great shape. Very fast greens. Course was not very busy, not like other years we've played there

The Mountain Vista courses are two of our favorites in the Palm Springs area. Always perfectly manicured, our only issue on this round was it was a bit slow and we waited on numerous tee boxes. It was a 4 hour and 35 minute round where we usually play in four hours if not held up but other than that a great day.

Greens and course were in great shape. Pace was excellent.

Great course and the only thing that would have made it more enjoyable would have been if our foursome had not been held up by a slow foursome in front of us. By the time we got to the back nine we waited on every tee box and then for every approach shot. It was a hot day and by the time we got to the 15th hole we decided to not play it so we could get in front of the slow foursome, as we suspected there was no one on the 16th tee box, fairway or green.
As stated, a very nice course that just needs to do something to keep the rate of play moving along, they did have nine minutes between tee times so the issue is simply no one asking slow players to speed up or have them miss a hole. One slow foursome affects all the golfers playing behind them.

It's a great course in excellent condition but because of the slow play we would not recommend it to friends. On the front nine we waited on every tee box and then again for every second shot. We thought it had corrected itself as there was no waiting on the back nine UNTIL we got to the seventeenth tee box, we were the third foursome on the tee box for this par three waiting for the green to be open. We never did see a course marshal once during our round.
We mentioned to one of the employees after the round how slow it was and he said it always plays that slow as they are busy, he also suggested that with a tee time of 12:30 he was surprised we got the full 18 holes played, it doesn't get dark until 5:30 so basically he was telling us that 5 hour rounds are to be expected although we did play it in 4:45 . My suggestion would be to leave a bit more time between foursomes but obviously it would mean less revenue but slow play might end up costing them that by golfers not returning to play again. There are many other nice courses in the valley that play at a 4 hour pace so those are the courses we will play, too bad because this course is a nice track.

We played as a foursome in 3 1/2 hours. Course is in nice condition and we all think it's good value for the money. There are plusher courses in the area but they charge two or three times as much or more to play.
The staff and facilities are all good, we never purchased any food or beverages so can't comment as to those services.
We are all 20-25 handicaps and found the course to be player friendly but still somewhat challenging as there are several water holes that give you the opportunity to hit into.
We play this course fairly frequently when in the area and then treat ourselves to the odd game at the higher end more expensive courses 2 or 3 times a month.

For the money I would rather play the Mountain Vista courses which are in excellent condition. Maybe later in the season the fairway grass will thicken up to the same standard as the above mentioned courses.

A wonderful golf experience, unfortunately we only discovered this course a week ago and now our vacation is over but at least we got to play it twice. There is not one thing we could possibly complain about. Yesterday was a busy day on the course and we still played in 4 /1/2 hours, last week it played in 4 1/4 hours which is as good as we've found in the Palm Springs area. You owe it to yourself to play this course. We're coming back next winter and Indian Canyon South will be our course of choice.
