Sandpiper Bay Golf & Country Club - Sand Nine
Played On 08/12/2019Good golf course
A good value, a variety of tee locations to suit all skill levels.
Course was extremely wet for mid August, greens were aerated more than a week ago, but greens conditions were adversely affected more than I expected. Interesting layout. Fast pace of play. Friendly staff, nice clubhouse.
The Links at Greystone
Played On 07/11/2018One of the top courses in the area
Definitely worth playing here, great layout and conditions. Challenging but fair.

Played On 08/23/2016Avoid this course until it receives maintenance
Very poor course conditions, worse I've ever experienced in 100s of rounds of golf in North America. Fairways, bunkers, tee boxes, green sides all very poorly maintained. Not worth money. Bunkers never raked or trimmed. Rough and tee boxes overcome with dense weeds. The greens were playable. Too bad it's not kept up since the layout and surrounding areas are nice.
The Pearl Golf Links - West Course
Played On 08/13/2015Very good golf experience
Scenic golf course, good layout. Friendly staff. Some of the finer details need attention, edges of greens a little crusty and sand traps need to be raked/filled in.
Eagle Nest Golf Club

A good value, but course conditions need attention.
Durand Eastman Golf Course
Played On 07/11/2015Noticable improvements
The new management has made great improvement to the course. Nice carts and pro shop.
Braemar Country Club
Played On 05/03/2015A pleasant surprise
Its very obvious they are working on improving the course in many areas; making the course more enjoyable. Drainage and facilities have been upgraded which made the round very enjoyable. One suggestion (I would give to most courses around here); rake the bunkers often.
Arcadian Shores Golf Club
Played On 9/5/2013A nice course, fair and challenging.
Liked the course, decent shape.
Felt a little rushed, it was crowded but I guess that's expected.
Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club
Played On 9/3/2013Nice layout.
This was the perfect course for husband/wife outing.
Sussex Pines CC had an unfortunate fire in the maintenance area in early August that destroyed 95% of the equipment such as mowers, bunker machines, tractors, aerifiers and all of the chemicals that were to be used to treat the course for weeds etc. The record heat added to the challenges faced by the green superintendent the last few weeks. The decision was made to focus on the greens which are still some of the best in the area. All efforts for the recovery of the rest of the course will begin once the insurance issues are finalized (which could take several weeks). Our apologies to Tommy from upstate New York and please know that all efforts are going to as speedy recovery of the fairways and bunkers and tees as possible.
