About

I have played 100's of golf courses around the country and enjoy to play many more courses. I have enjoyed working with juniors and all golfers. I love playing golf in wind rain or shine. I have been privileged to watch the masters at August National and the tour championship at East Lake. I always enjoy a good golf challenge. I love watching PGA tour golf in my free time with my favorite golfers being Jordan Speith and Rickie Fowler. Golf to me truly is a extremely enjoyable game that can make you happy or mad but that is why I love. I hope to see more juniors playing and juniors and I hope to see many more golf courses. Hope to see you on the course soon!

Good conditions after hurricane

Oyster Reef I felt was a very solid course after the hurricane. Hurricane Matthew left a lot of damage on the island and a Oyster Reef got some of the worst damage. There was definetly noticeable Debrie. The clubhouse and the staff was very pleasant to be around and the trees were nice. The rough wasn't to thick and the fairways where nice and green. The bunkers where very good and there was definetly lots of water. The 5th hole hole was my favorite hole and the 14th was solid to. The variety of holes and the good food in the clubhouse led to a fun expierence and another course to check of the list in Hilton Head Island.

A great second option at Palmetto Dunes

What a great second option at Palmetto Dunes. Obviously the RTJ course is the best simply because of the oceanfront views, however I think that the course layout and course conditions are better at the George Fazio course. There is water on the course and tight fairways. There is no way to ''grip it and rip it''. The approach shots are very hard especially with the winds with the nearby ocean. Even though that you can not see the ocean you can definetly smell the salt in the air. The clubhouse for all the coureses is buetifuel and the practice facility is one to none. The food in the clubhouse was also pretty good and the staff was freindly. Overall I loved the whole expierence.

Solid third option at the resort

The woodlands course at Chaeau Elan is a good track but not the best at Chateau Elan. The day I played it rained about an inch and the back nine was so saturated, it was almost unplayable. I didn't give the course three stars because of the weather but I have heard that the course is definitely better in the sun. The greens remained about an eight on the stimp meter and the fairways were not that bad. The bunkers were the only issue, but I never got it one so it didn't matter. The resort and clubhouse are both very nice after the recent renovations. The resort is very sporty and is much of the best resorts in the state. The solid array of three courses and a par three course is a nice touch. I think the whole resort is very nice and define try recommend the Cheatue course, and the legends course.

Island West- OK value

I've played here numerous times but never during the winter until today. The course just missed Hurricane Mattew which was a blessing. The course was OK, it wasn't in the best shape in the area. There's two ways you can look at it, if your a local then you play the course a lot and you like it. If your on a buddies golf trip it's a different story. There are lots of better options in the area but at the same time they are expensive. The staff really cares at Island west and the Marshalls are nice. The course I thought was in good shape for the winter and they definitely over seeded. The greens were a bit slow but not bad. The fairways where nice and the rough was thick. The course is a good course if you don't want to break your pocket on your next trip to Hilton Head Island.

Great course on the ocean

What a great course at Palmetto Dunes resort. The three courses at the resort are all one of a kind but this one is truly spectacular. The Robert Trent Jones course built in 2002 is truly special. The ocean views are great and the white sand bunkers with deep rough really make it a tough day. The wind can really blow on the back nine. The food in the clubhouse is great and the staff was really accommodating at was willing to awnser are questions. The carts seemed new and where electric. (Which run smoother then gas) The best part is the overall price with tax, ocean views, great course, and fees I spent about $95 dollars. Overall the course was great.

Better then the Fazio course but not as good as the Robert Trent jones one

Played here today and the course was in great conditions. The Authur Hills course is not as no as good as the Robert Trent Jones course but is better then the George Fazio course. The Trent Jones golf course is the one that has the 'oceanfront' views. The whole Palmetto Dunes course is a great setting in Hilton Head but not the best on the island. Personally I feel the course is a little overrated for what you get but the course is always in great shape, with lots of water. The good part about the course it is near the ocean just not on it. I felt the layout was absoulutley perfect and the setting is great. The palm trees are always out and the staff has been accommodating the two times I've played it. Overall I felt the course was great.

North or South course you decide

No doubt both the north and the south course at Berkley Hall are premium options in Hilton Head. Personally I like the Tom Fazio north course better then the South course that opened in 2002. It seems like every time I here about the course I here them talking about a (multi million dollar renovation). The course though on the other hand is always getting better. The facilities and the course are always top notch and the waste bunkers are tough to get out of. The greens are fast and the staff is nice. Overall a very pleasant course.

Interesting footnote: they play lots of U.S open qualifying and U.S junior open qualifying here at the course.

Berkeley Hall rank among the top private courses in South Carolina

I debated very hard a long, to see if the course was 5 star quality and thought you know there's know way to only give this 4 stars. The course doesn't have any ocean views but it does have some of the best course conditions in the area. The north course is probably a little nicer then the south course but there still both great courses. The practice facilities are suberb and the course itself is great. There is no way to get in the gates unless you are there with a member. The hole facilites are great and really is one of the most pure courses in South Carolina.

Resort golf at its finest near the Monterey Pennisula

Most people when they get off the plane immediately head to the Monterey Pennisula to play Pebble and Spyglass hill, and poppy hills. I was smart to veere of to Carmel California and play a few courses. The major redesign in 2015 included a new dining area, a nine hole putting course, and course design changes. The course and resort is very buetifuel with the buetifuel ponds and nice views of the hillside on four and as you come back down to the par 3 fifth with the buetifuel ponds. The practice facilities are magnificent. The new dining on the porch is also very nice. The clubhouse is very nice after the makeover. To throw the whole vacation together eat at Edgar's restraint as well as a stay and play at the Quail Lodge Resort.

Find design by Pete dye at Carmel Valley

What a buetifuel design just about 10 miles from the Monterey peninsula. The resort is absolutely amazing from the time that you drive in to the resort. The whole setup is absolutely remarkable and the inn and golf in ammaculant. The buetifuel clubhouse and well spoken staff is great.

The course has buetifuel rolling fairways and deep rough and rolling greens. With buetifuel 65 degree weather the whole round was very fun! I thought the hillside was very buetifuel and the trees was great. They reccomend that you walk on the course and I would definitely reccomend walking instead of riding in a cart. The rocks and buetifuel setting and sunset down the stretch was great.

The food in the clubhouse was great and off course amenities are absolutely great. Overall the setting and the buetifuel course ties it all together as a buetifuel resort.

Thanks for the review Keith! Please don't take this wrong but I would recommend using spell check for the benefit of you readers. You've written some great reviews but they are a bit difficult to read. Buetifuel is spelled beautiful by the way. Awesome that you enjoyed CVR. It's one of my favorites. Next time you visit the Monterey area check out Laguna Seca!

Play it one last time

I decided to play Woodmont one more time before it goes private. There going private pretty soon when they meet 450 members. The course is clubhouse is buetifuel and nice tennis with good facility's but could be a little better.

The pace of play was herendous there must have been 4 5somes ahead of us. Other then that the greens rolled nice and I carded 4 birdies but there was some dormite grass. The are lots of good holes on the course.

Overall the course is in great condition and play it one last time before they go private.

Old farm made in to a golf course

I've played here a few times over the past 3-4 years and it's always been a solid track nothing flashy but it gets the job done. The course was an old farm which you can see the reminetes of it on the fourth. The practice green is good but the off course amenities could need some serious attention the course is pretty good especially 14. The grass is mowed well and the staff is good but there is nothing amazing just a solid course to sharpen up your game with a fun day with friends.

One of my Favorite Fazio designes

Man is this a great course! Was in Panama City where I like to go over long weekends and holidays but I had never checked this course out until today. And the course didn't disappoint. I simply never played here because it was always well over 100 dollars but I figured with the great reviews I would just try it out anyways. The Tom Fazio design is wonderful with lots of marshes making it the 11th harvest course in the country.

The clubhouse was buetifuel and the practice facility was great. I couldn't believe how nice the course was with all the buetifuel plant and animal life. The greens rolled very true and fast and the rough is thick. The marshes and extensive amounts of water always make you remember who designed this course. (Tom Fazio). The course reminded me of Streamstong red a liitle.

The food was great which didn't suprise me. The place is near everything, seaside, the beach, PCB, and lots more. The clubhouse is great and the staff was friendly. There is no dought that I will be back.

Great TPC course

Played the course today in chilly conditions but it got warmer as we played. I have played a lot of TPC course which stands for tournament players club. However this was one of the nicest, I understand that TPC sawgrass and TPC Boston are better but this is by far the best course in Tampa. The weather during the spring is so nice and the weather is almost always good here mix in great course conditions and great facilities it's one of a kind.

The clubhouse was nice especially the locker room which was big and spacious, and the staff was very nice and had a smile on there face. The driving range was big and really liked the practice chipping area. The course itself was very nice and had a lot of deep bunkers and the greens where really fast. The marshal, drove around and checked on us multiple times. My favorite hole was 13 but the finishing stretch was really full of great holes.

After your round I recommend going shopping in the clubhouse and eating lunch in the clubhouse. The food was very good and the off the course ammenities are great and there is lots to do around the town.

Lots of water

Played here for my last course I played while near Myrtle beach. The course was fantastic I bad heard from many people that the course conditions where great and it definetly lived up to its expectations!

As I pulled in there where lots of people and the clubhouse was spacious and comforting. The staff was very nice and was helpful. The practice facility was great but not overly amazing. However the driving range was quite nice.

The course itself for winter conditions was great and really lived up to its expectations. There was lots of water and the cart paths where very nice. There where lots of bridges with the water. The bunkers where great. I missed a lot of greens of the hard greens and there where collection areas that got your ball every time. Overall really enjoyed the course.

Great staff

Played here Thursday over my Litchfeild beach trip and wow! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and helpful from the time I checked in. The course was designed by Dan Maples in 1988. (Great course designer). The course isn't overly long but it's not exactly short. The course had a great restraunt which had more great staff.

The course itself was very nice with a good amount of water. The only thing I would complain about would be the bunkers that where a little wet. The rough was healthy and greens rolled true. I also appreciated the fact that they had a great range and practice facility. The trees on the course where buetiful and loved the whole scenery of the course. The course is a little expensive but would still reccomend the course.

Great layout

Played here today with some windy conditions and thought the course was a good layout. The course when you drive in the entrance looks amazing with its buetifuel plants and expansive clubhouse. The staff here is very friendly and would consider them some of the nicest people.

The course was ok but the layout was very good. It's very sad the course conditions aren't great but there not horrible. (Believe me I have played far worse). The course was just a little bare a needed water the driving range was good though. The course had some buetifuel holes including 17 and 18.

The clubhouse was nice with nice locals that where having some drinks in the clubhouse playing checkers. The food was delicious and one again great staff. Overall I liked the course with some water this could be a great course.

Amazing fun at True Blue

What a great track in Pawleys Island. I had never even heard of the course until I was told that it was ranked in Matt Ginella's top 50 courses in the country. The course was definitely a treat to play and was very well kept.

The course was designed in 1998 and was very buetifuel. The course as well as practice facilities where very nice. The extensive waste bunkers and deep rough was a challenge but the overseeded fairways where good.

The food in the clubhouse was good and man was the clubhouse nice. The best part was the staff that was so nice and helpful. Overall I really enjoyed the course.

New favorite course in Pawleys Island

I was staying for the week just down the road at Litchfeild by the sea and made a tee time here. This 1986 Dan Maples masterpiece is great course with lots of water and swamps. The Heritage Club sign outside with the moss gives a nice touch as you walk into one of the premier public courses in Pawleys Island. As I arrived the staff was wonderful and got tons of balls on the range. The facilities where great and really liked the way the clubhouse was designed.

The Marshall on the first tee was very nice and told us about the pin positions and where you could and could not drive out. The weather the day my group played it was wet and humid but it wasn't to bad. The course itself wasn't in the best shape in Myrtle beach but the layout was fantastic, with the big trees and swampy areas through the course which I would image is loaded with crocs in the summer. The greens and bunkers where good and rough was thick.

The food in the clubhouse was OK but if you want really good food I would suggest that you go to Moe's BBQ down the road a few minutes. Overall for Winter conditions I liked the course but would recommend going in the spring or even the summer for conditions.

Good course in Myrtle Beach that won't bust your pocket

Played here on New Years and the weather wasn't the best I've ever seen but the course was great. It was about 58 degrees and there was lots of rain. The parking lot was not very busy but the course was filled with experienced and nice locals from Litchfeild Beach area. The plants and clubhouse where very nice with great staff friendlyness.

Like I said the weather wasn't exactly the best weather but it was ok and the course just nailed it. The drainage system was nice and esorbed all the water that was standing in the grass. The putting green was a little small but the driving range was nice and the Marshall at the first hole was really chill and didn't really care if we hit mulligans of one.

The course itself was in fantastic shape for the winter and really enjoyed the fact that the greens where running true and where fast. The course wasn't overly long and doesn't eat you alive, which gave me lots of birdie opertunities. This also gives the average 10 handicap a chance to break 85. There was a good amount of water and a lot of good holes on the course which I appreciated.

Overall I really enjoyed the course and would definitely recommend the course.
