Kings Ridge Golf Club - Ridge Course
Played On 09/22/2016FEMALES BEWARE...
Course is great as always... was one of my favorite courses but now on my ban list.
If you are a woman and love to play golf, call ahead before you play. Next thing you know they will require women to wear ankle length skirts with their men's style COLLARED shirt. I wear GOLF DRESSES and they rarely have collars. Guess what, if you don't have a collar the snippy little girl behind the counter will send you away and maybe let you come back after gesturing to you in a smart... way that she is dressed like a dude and has a collar. Does not matter that appropriate golf attire/dress on tour or in stores is not the same for men and women. Here is a hint... we are not build the same. Collared attire does not come with built in "necessities".
Hidden Creek Golf Club
Played On 11/24/20157 minute stack...
The course is always well maintained but I won't go back. I quit after 3 holes. There are too many trees and your ball may land dead middle of fairway or green then just roll off. Even with pairing we were stacked four foursomes deep with tee times 7 minutes apart. No Marshall to move things along or suggest moving up a box... It is a close and convienent course but I would rather drive.
Old Brickyard Golf Course
Played On 10/11/2015Females need not apply.
This is not a female friendly course unless you play from the back tees... I will play here again but will know to expect a horrible score!
Course was over all good condition especially for Texas. Tenth hole is brutal and should have a snowman already on the score card. Many of the holes are blind and hard to read. I recommend a guide if your first time playing or you will end up on 15 vs 5. Bring your own water! Sunday 7:24 tee time and the trash cans were full, water coolers were full from Saturday and no sign of beverage cart.
Tierra Verde Golf Club
Played On 06/25/2015Fun course!
The course was in great shape and unlike many they don't leave the aeration plugs everywhere. The greens are difficult to read and after all four tried several times to make particular putts without success we made our own rule LOL. Would go back in a heartbeat.
Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club
Played On 06/17/2015Sprinklers
It was a late tee time of 5:18 but they don't tell you the sprinklers come on at 7. Even with just the two of us on the entire course we only got to play 9 holes because we were trying to dodge sprinklers. We tried to work around everything but by then the cart boy was looking for us so they could leave.
This course is only a challenge if you make it hard LOL. Fun course generally with great challenges and lots of climbing. Still one of my prefs.
West Orange Country Club
Played On 06/16/2015GRASS!
I know golf and grass are synonymous but I have found many places to not be so lush. The grass was beautiful everywhere and though I couldn't read the greens it was not their fault LOL. We actually played two rounds. I would get a membership but was informed new owners/management was taking over and that is not alway a good thing. Until I find a reason to not go back it is in my top three favorites from Texas to Florida.
Cleburne Golf Links
Played On 03/30/2015Favorite course
I have played courses all over and always come back. This course allows overall game improvement without the frustration. Wide open, well kept and varied level of challenges. Bring water balls LOL. The staff are genuine and helpful and the people playing are generally the most polite of anywhere I have played.
Cleburne Golf Links
Played On 03/26/2015Always windy but still my favorite
Not the easiest course but the challenges are less frustrating and more educational.
