Teed off 25+ minutes past our original tee time. Three groups waiting to tee off on the first 5 holes. No help from pro shop or Marshall for pace of play. 5+ hour round

Enjoyed the course and layout. Challenging from the back tees to say the least. Greens were slow but rolled pretty true. I’d play it again the next time I’m in town

They let a 5 some tee off in front of us. I called the pro shop and they sent someone out to talk to the group but nothing was done. Round took over 5 hours and the group in front of us was 2 holes behind all day.

Greens are not in great shape and the bunkers are terrible, even with new sand

Chicopee it’s typically one of my favorites but I won’t be back any time soon.

It was pretty disappointing to pay nearly $100 to play mid day on a Thursday and be forced to warm up off mats, especially when it was 100 degrees outside and hadn't rained in weeks. Not only was it mats only there was a waiting line to hit and then once a spot opened up there were few balls available. Someone should have been picking the range and keeping it stocked.

The course was in overall good shape and the greens are rolling true.

Tee boxes are in bad shape and the course could use som TLC in some areas. However, the greens are fast and rolling great! For under $40 it was WELL worth it.

Over 5 hours to play 18 holes is just ridiculous, especially when its not cart path only.

We teed off behind a "party" of 8, two groups of 4 that were there to drink and goof off more so than to play golf. They drove their carts all over the place, on pars 3's near the green and through a bunker. The first group waited on the green or tee box of every hole for the group behind them. There were three groups on every tee box almost the entire day. Needless to say the first group of the "party" was over a hole behind the group in front of them ALL DAY.

NEVER saw a ranger once. I understand it was a beautiful day and a lot of people on the course but there is no reason for a non tournament round to ever take over 4 1/2 hours.

The last two or three times I have played this course the person behind the counter either had an attitude or completely ignored me. Sorry, i'm not a member!

The course and greens were in great shape. Little windy but other than that it was really enjoyable. Played as a twosome in about 3 hours.

You could tell the greens had been punched in the last few weeks, they need another week or two before they are back to 100%. They still rolled pretty good

Course needs a lot of work due to all of the recent rain, especially the bunkers. They were virtually unplayable.

I used to love this course and play it regularly. The course/staff has been on the decline for the last couple of years. They had trouble with their greens a year or two ago and had to keep them extremely long to keep from losing them all together. While the greens were in better shape than the last time I played the course (about a year ago) they still are not very good. When I checked in and asked for range balls I was told the range was closed (because it was too wet). I should have been informed of this when I made the tee time (same day). When I finished my round there were 5 or 6 guys beating balls on the range ??? If you want better greens and a cheaper price go down the street to Chicopee. Their greens are in great shape and the range is never closed. Better pace of play as well. Hopefully Royal Lakes will get their act together and become the "Country Club" they claim to be. Until then I wont be coming back.

The course is in pretty good shape. The greens look like they were punched a few weeks ago and are still a week or two away from being completely healed. The greens were also a bit on the slow side (most likely due to all of the recent rain). Once the course drys out and they cut the greens this place will be perfect!

The greens were recently punched and top dressed. NO notification online or at pro shop check in. Was not worth what I paid and I would have played another course had I known.

STOP taking tee times so early in the morning if your crew doesn't start until after 7 am. You (the pro shop) are causing the course to back up before the day has even begun by sending groups out prior to the maintenance grew starting.

Course was in really good condition considering the sever storms that rolled through the night before. Bunkers had not yet been cleaned up from all the rain but other than that the course was in good shape. Greens are a little beat up but still rolling true. I play this course often because I can always count on the greens being in good shape. There are some funky holes out there and if you haven't played the course previously you can get your self in trouble with what you think is a good shot.

Overall the course is in pretty good condition. My biggest issue is with the large amount of ball/pitch marks on the greens. It appears the majority of people who play this course don't fix ball marks. It was almost as bad as putting on greens that have been aerated. It was very surprising due to the typical cost to play this course as well as location. I have played a few other courses in the area recently that get as much if not more play and don't have the same issue? I know there isn't much they can do about it, it was just disappointing. I expected better conditions (greens) for the price.

The course and greens are in relatively good shape. However, the bunkers need a lot of work. With it being a holiday we expected slow play but over 5 hour rounds are unacceptable every day. This place is notorious for slow play and over priced rates.

The course was in good shape except for the bunkers. The greens are extremely SLOW. Teed off around 11 on a Sunday, no one was at the course. Played as a two ball and played through a three ball on the 4th hole. Never saw another group and finished in 3 hours. We hadn't played the course in about a year due to the greens speed. Probably wont be back for a while until they cut the greens. Chicopee's greens are in better shape and is a better value right now.

The course is in pretty good shape but the pace of play was horrible. It took over 2 1/2 hours to play the front 9 and roughly 5 1/2 hours total. We waited on almost every hole/shot. The "rangers" could care less. They drove past use multiple times during the round and just smiled and waved, not sure why the course is even paying them.

The course is extremely enjoyable to play. Always in good condition and can be challenging (depending on the tees you play from).

I always make sure to take advantage of the opportunity to play this track since it is typically not open to the public. However, my group encountered an extremely rude and inconsiderate member playing behind us. We were a group of 3 playing behind a twosome. We stayed on the twosome all day and even had to wait on them starting around the 9th (tough long par three with water down the right). When we got to the 10th tee (after stopping to grab a drink at the turn) the twosome had not yet teed off, they were waiting on the group in front of them to clear the green (#10 is a short drive-able par 4 - under 300 yards from the tips). When the group/member behind us got to the tee and we were still there they were not happy and started to make rude/inappropriate comments and tried to rush us off. By the time we got to the green the pro was driving towards us (the member behind us went in and complained). The pro realized the group in front us us was still waiting on the next tee and there was no where for us to go. He came back a few minutes later and lets us know we were not the problem (which we already knew) and that it was a group 2-3 holes ahead of us backing up the course (we didn't mind because the pace of play was still pretty good). He apologized for the member behind us.

If the course is going to open up to public play they need to educate their members and ensure the experience is enjoyable for everyone.

The course is in great condition. Greens were quick and true. Pace of play was great.

Front side is pretty open and provides opportunities to score. The back nine is tighter and more challenging.

Unlimited range balls with your tee time and a nice practice putting green.

I was highly irritated to find the greens punched. Neither of the practice putting greens were punched and there was no notification when booking my tee time. It wasn’t worth the discounted rate I paid. They are at least 3 weeks from being heeled. I can’t believe they are holding a mid AM qualifier on Monday 4/9 with such poor greens.

I had my 3rd HOLE-IN-1 on #3 so it was a great day/round.

The course is in good shape for late February. Greens are fast and rolling pretty true. Bunkers need a lot of work but that's pretty typical for all courses north of Atlanta.

Looking forward to getting back out there when the course drys out and its not cart path only!
