Wolfdancer Golf Club
Played On 12/30/2016Highly Recommend
I was in Austin for a short period but wanted to play some golf. I found this course highly recommended through Golf Advisor and it lived up to its recommendation. The staff was beyond friendly, the course played tough but it was a cold windy day, and the pro shop was very nice. You can walk this course, front nine would be easier than the back nine. If you playing a full 18 I would recommend riding. There was a lot of scenery that was very pretty.. I didn't get to experience the off course amenities but they looked very nice. If your in the area I would recommend playing this course. There is a driving range and they had speakers on some of the trees playing some good music.
Crescent Farms Golf Course
Played On 06/19/2016Fathers Day Round
Played this course for Fathers day. Course was in good condition, fairways were green and full. The greens were in great shape, pace of play was good for it being a beautiful day and fathers day. Driving range is short and cannot hit driver with out going over the net, putting green is in a perfect spot right behind the first tee box. Course does play tight in some sports.
Highlands Golf & Tennis Club
Played On 06/11/2016Great Walking Course
This is a good course if you are looking for a quick walking nine. The course plays easy with only 1 par 5. Course is usually in decent shape for having a lot of foot traffic. I would recommend playing this early morning, if it is a nice day the course can backup making it a long nine holes. You will see a lot of amateurs playing which slows down pace as well, would not recommend playing this mid day. Has a nice driving range to practice before your round usually hitting off of mats. Course does play very tight and driver is not needed on many holes. Nothing really to do after your round at the course.
Valhalla Golf Club
Played On 05/05/2016Derby Weekend Round
I had the pleasure of playing this course derby weekend. It was a bucket list course for me and didn't disappoint. We took 4 caddies who were worth every penny and did help me birdie a par 3. Course was an easy walk, especially when your not carrying your bag. Obviously everything was in great condition it did rain a little bit in the beginning of the round but ended up cleaning up by the end. It is a difficult course and does play fairly long. The rough was fairly high and did punish you for not getting in the fairway. Greens were fast as expected. If you have the chance play it and do pay for the caddy.
Tower Tee Golf & Recreation
Played On 09/30/2015Wedges/Irons Calibration
Tower Tee is a great course to go and get your wedge and iron game fine tuned. All par 3, you won't need anything more than a pitching wedge on the front nine. The back 9 is a little longer but still nothing more than a 6 iron. It is a nice walk and the staff is very nice and helpful.
If you are looking for lesson I would recommend Bob Gaus.
First Nine at Edison Club, The
Played On 09/26/2015Great Course
I have a buddy who is a member at this course and have the opportunity to play when I go and visit. The course is broken up into three 9 hole courses.
This nine is my second favorite 9 of the course. Being somewhat a shorter course you only need driver on 2-3 holes, definitely a lot of scoring opportunity if you course manage properly. I would recommend walking especially if you are going during the fall time.
Great course will play I would recommend it.
Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you had an enjoyable Father's Day spent on our course. Hope to see you again soon!
