Crooked Cat at Orange County National
Played On 03/28/2019Crooked Cat still a great track
The overall OCN experience is not what it used to be ..... had fun “player of the day” experience, much more pro shop merchandise, use of the back range, included range balls, etc....but this course is worth playing. It is a challenging and fun track in great shape. I found conditions better than Panther lake this week.

Always look forward to playing this course, just wish prices were a little better, especially with open teetimes on the sheet.
Everyone is friendly, and amenities are top notch. Even have water bottles on the course for you, which is a little extra that goes along way.
Pro shop has some nice items although it’s a little small. Prices, again, or a little high which prevented me from buying. $150 for vest, plus Florida tax was a little too steep for me.
Panther Lake at Orange County National
Played On 03/24/2019Not the same OCN
We have played here in the past, but it is been a couple years since our last visit. The fairways were not quite in as good a shape as I remember, and it was even tough to get a good lie on some of the holes. The pro shop used to be packed with high-quality merchandise, but now there were sparse offerings. Front and back range used to always be open, which was part of the fun, but only the front small range was offered to us this time. We had to actually pay for balls separate from our greens fees, which was also new to me, and something I didn’t like. Playing Orange county national used to feel like you were at a resort corse even though it was public, but now has a very public course feel. Courses are still fun to play, conditions and overall experience just down a notch or 2 from the past.
Black Horse at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 10/25/2017Greens can be ridiculous...but loved the course
Black Horse: More open than the sister course...some short holes (keep the driver in the bag), but the lack of length is made up for by some sloped and quick greens. 2 of the greens were nearly unputtable....All 4 players had to pick up on hole number 3 cause the pin location was so ridiculous even when below the hole you could putt passed it and role all of the way back down to the front :0....Overall fun to play, and would do it again...I like Bayonet better though
The Bayonet at Bayonet/Black Horse Golf Course
Played On 10/23/2017Bayonet: Fair but challenging...(if you know the course)
Had a great time. some tight driving holes if you don't shape the ball. Greens where rolling very good. Tough course to score well on the first time seeing it...but fair, so I'd like another crack at it. Definitely a repeat play...especially at this rate! Saw cart girl one time in 18 holes...grill closes around 3.

Spectacular views!! Challenging course with variety of hole shapes and shots required. Local course knowledge would go a long way for playing several of the downhill and uphill shots, as well as tee shot placement for approaches. Love to play it again. f
