The course was in nice shape. The greens were putting well and a lot of the scrub areas have been cut back and cleaned up. The elevation changes and blind shots make this an interesting place. I would recommend it.
Swiss Fairways Golf Course
Played On 02/20/2019Poorly Managed Course
I play with a group 3 times a week and we have between 8 an 16 golfers. Yesterday we had 9 players so we booked (3) threesomes. We paid the fee and went to the tee box. The starter said that they were short on carts ( this is at 7;10 AM) and that he had to make some changes. We though that he wanted to add some singles in with us so that was fine, no problem. He said no that he had to make our group,of 9 into 2 foursomes and a single and that I had to join the next group coming up. The next group was a foursome and he attempted to pull one of that group out and put me in with them. I said that I don’t think that I would be comfortable playing with a foursome you just broke up. His second solution was that in about 40 minutes there was another threesome scheduled and that he would break them up and put each one of them with one of our groups to make up foursomes. I asked if that group is going to be receptive to you breaking them up that way. His attitude was “if they want to play they will, have to like it”. At that point I decided that if I can’t play with the group, i came with then I may as well go home. I went to get a refund and they refused. I said “ you won’t let me play with my regular group, you won’t let me play at the time I reserved and paid for and you won’t give a refund. He said “we don’t need you here”. I reminded him that we are locals and play here on an average of twice a month ( 30 - 35) rounds and that we bring a tournament of about 40 players out here every year. This equates to over 400 rounds a year, plus what we spend in the restaurant, are you willing to give that up? Then the manager started an idiotic chant of “have a nice day, have a nice day, over and over. Every time i attempted to talk to him he went into that chant. We all left saying that we won’t be back and the manager went into his idiotic chant again.
As I was leaving I saw a guy putting his clubs back in his car. I talked to him and he said that he was a visitor and wanted to play. His wife was with him and he said that he offered pay whatever the “riders fee” was. They told him that they did not have a rider fee so he’s said that he would pay the regular rate. He said that they told him that the only way she could ride with him was if he paid the regular rate and also rented clubs for her even though she wasn’t playing.
The management there leaves much to be desired.
Talking to other people there I got the impression that management did prepare or provide for enough carts and are now making it a problem for the golfers.
The manager said that he “didn’t need me”. Well, there are a lot of courses around so I DONT NEED YOU EITHER.
Hello, and thank you for reviewing our course, Swiss Fairways. We're very sorry to hear you had a poor customer experience with us recently, and we appreciate your feedback so we may work on improvements for your future experience with us. We apologize for any miscommunication or misunderstanding in regards to your reservation and hope we can better handle similar situations in the future. Thank you for choosing our course, and we hope to see you again soon.
Tony pretty much covered the situation. We had no problem with them putting other players with us to make up foursomes. It was the idea of taking one of our players and making them play with a group of strangers, who were not even at the course yet. If they have someone there to put with us at our tee time, that’s fine. We have played as a threesome many times at that course without a problem. We left there and played as a threesome at another very popular course that day and played again as a threesome there the following Friday..It could have been handled more diplomatically.
SAME AS FIRST COMMENT,. PLAYED TOGETHER. SHAME AFTER ALL THE GOLF THEY PLAYED, THEY THINK THEY OWN GOLF COURSES AND CAN DO AS THEY PLEASE. IF THEY SHOWED UP SHORT PLAYERS, WOULD THEY PAY FOR THE PLAYERS THAT DID NOT SHOW ?????? DONT THINK SO. TRY THAT NEXT GOLF COURSE.

The course is in great shape, offering a variety of tee boxes to accommodate all levels of play. The greens putt well and if you pay attention, quite readable. A nice place to play.
Thank you for the great review!

The course is nice. Lots of water and traps. The greens are great and putt well. Always enjoyable to play here. While the course is pretty well maintained, I wish they paid just a little more attention to the tee boxes. Sometimes they were uneven and a little ragged, but no big deal.

The course is a great value for the $$. The greens are a little slow, but certainly in great shape. And putt well. The course is playable but if you are playing it for the first time it's nice to have someone with you that knows the course since there is a lot of hidden trouble. I would play there again.
Highland/Grove at Errol Country Club
Played On 8/21/2013Good value
The course was in great shape. The greens are a moderate size so as long as you get on you at least have a chance of making the putt. While there are subtle breaks, the greens roll well. There are a variety of tee boxes to accommodate everyone. They have their share of dog legs and that makes a lotbofvthe holes more interesting. There used to be 3 sets of 9 holes, but they' closed down the Lake 9. It's a enjoyable course to play.
Providence Golf Club
Played On 6/2/2013Nice layout
The course was in good shape. The greens are usually great , but a couple of them were rough, but should improve shortly. It's enjoyable to play and not too difficult for the average player. It has a nice assortment of tee boxes so it can accommodate players of all skill levels. The clubhouse and restaurant facilities are also a plus.
Nice course
Stoneybrook West is a nicely designed course, very pleasing to the eye. It's epically nice for someone who has not played it before because what you see is what you get. It has its share of hazards, bunkers and water but everything is laid out in front of you, no tricks. The course is well maintained and the greens are great. It has a nice variety of tee boxes to accommodate different skill level golfers. The restaurant has great food and the prices are reasonable.
Twin Rivers Golf Club
Played On 5/24/2013Nice course for the price
Twin Rivers is a great course for the price. There are a lot of interesting and challenging holes. It has a great layout, very pleasing to the eye. The sand traps are very strategically if not diabolically placed. On some of the holes the traps challenge you to get over them. If you do the rewards are great, if not..........trouble. It's risk and reward. There are some blind shots and that's always fun. It's an enjoyable course to play.
MetroWest Golf Club
Played On 5/4/2013Usually a nice course
The course is usually in great condition but currently the greens are not in the greatest shape I'm sure that they will improve in a few weeks. It's always a great course to play.
South Course at Rock Springs Ridge Golf Club
Played On 4/24/2013Nicely layer course
The course is a good value for the money. It has a great layout with a lot of nice looking and interesting holes. The greens are a nice mixture of flat surfaces along with some moderate to severe breaks. The course was in pretty good shape but there were a few greens that could use some work.

Not an easy course. Lot of challenging holes. Great layout. Lot of elevation changes for a Florida course. Blind shots, hills, water and traps. Very interesting to play.

Nice course in great condition. Especially like the greens. I am not a long hitter but they'd have a variety of tee boxes to accommodate everyone.
Fairways Country Club

Great course for the price. Condition is good, they take care of the course well. It's short but there are a lot of challenging holes. The layout is interesting ( there is a lot of water ), it requires a lot of accurate shots.
Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
Played On 11/14/2012Nice course
The course was in great shape. The staff made me feel welcome. The greens are huge but roll well and are not as difficult to read as some of the courses I play. It's a great golfing experience.

Nice layout. Challenging but fair. Greens are quick but they roll well.
Magnolia Plantation Golf Club
Played On 4/7/2012Difficult course, trouble and water everywhere.
It's a hard course. Some of the water that crosses the fairway is difficult to see. You can hit, what might seem like a great shot from the tee, only to find yourself in the water. It would be helpful to know how far out the water is on holes where you may not know that it's there.
Hi tony1225. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. Thank you for the 4 stars! We aim for a 5-star experience, so we always welcome feedback for improvement. Thank you for playing Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club.
