Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course
Played On 03/24/2021A fabulous layout
Course in great shape. Plenty of wildlife including a coyote ! A couple of easy holes to get you started and then a magnificent par 5 awaits you. North Course is not bad but this South course is a top notch track.
Don’t miss it !!
The Club at Savannah Harbor
Played On 11/08/2017This course is a true delight and pure joy
Everybody is so friendly here, and I really mean everybody: from the bag drop, to the golf shop, starter, ranger, all the way to the cart lady etc. You know it’s classy here when the range balls are complimentary.
The course is well designed as you start with easier holes and can get yourself warmed up and in a groove before encountering the tougher holes (#6,7). Spectacular views of Savannah and its river. Picturesque holes with the just the right mix of bunkers, doglegs, trees and ponds. Finally, a course designed for the real public and not with pro golfers in mind ! Forget the long carries, impossibly thick rough, elevated turtle-back greens your ball can’t hold ! You will truly enjoy every shot and never forget your round there. Can’t wait to come back.
Bear Creek Golf Club
Played On 12/05/2015Great layout
Each hole is unique and well designed. The course is in great shape and the greens are fast and true. Great layout that is walkable and will challenge the best golfer. Number 18 is a sight to behold. It remains a pretty difficult course to play yet it remains fair. Don't be afraid to pick the shorter tees. With the free beer & food coupon, a great value unequaled on the island.
Crescent Pointe Golf Club
Played On 11/25/2015Course in fairly bad shape right now
Forget the pro shop saying it's walkable because it definitively isn't. Long walks between holes.
So many bunkers and marshlands to carry - makes the course hard for amateurs to enjoy.
At this time of year with rain in the low country, the course is soaked all over and with recent reseeding, you'll get a better lie after missing the fairway. Half the ball washers are missing a cloth and their water is super smelly/dirty. The greens at this time are in bad shape and so bumpy the ball won't hold the.line as if you were playing pachinko at Tokyo airport. Avoid for now, but should be worth it later when it dries up, the greens get smoother and the new grass takes.

Good layout, water and sand traps are well placed and not overwhelming. A few raps gave shallow sand that hide a hard base that will make your wedge bounce straight back up. A few easy par 3's and 5's will soothe the pains. . Played it in 3 1/2 hours in the afternoon - a good pace of play for a change. Greens are super fast and quite difficult - be sure you know how to read the grain. And then you'll still be wondering how to read them ! A good challenge. Avoid starter Ryan, he's rude, abrasive, super nervous and pushy. The other starter was a pearl - a real Jekyll and Hyde duet.

Greens a bit slow but layout is not bad. No ranger on course so the pace is excruciatingly slow. You are at the mercy of the 50 handicappers in front of you.
