Maui Nui Golf Club
Played On 08/29/2015New Management
As a local Maui resident I have played this course many times. In the last year this course has been rebranded to Maui Nui. Staff members are upbeat and care about their guests. Outside staff is much better than in years past. Attitude is everything and the outside staff is very important to me and my experience as a local golfer. Maui Nui fits all skill levels. Sight lines are good and the far 5's are reachable in two even for the mid-handicapper.
Kahili Golf Course
Played On 08/22/2015Looking for a Maui golf challenge
Can get a lot of local business. Green fees are reasonable for visitors. Some really nice views once you hit the back side. Course is challenging due to elevation changes. Greens are usually in good shape and fast. Wind is a big factor on this course. Rain in the afternoons can hamper that perfect round. Bring your pullover!
Wailea Golf Club - Old Blue Course
Played On 08/15/2015Blue Course, My Course
I consider Blue Course my home course. However, it does have its drawbacks. No driving range. A newly constructed practice green which is getting better every week. Great views for our visitors. A challenging course and can creep up on you as it plays longer than expected. It can get windy during afternoon rounds so, book early morning to mid-morning rounds to beat the wind! The staff is much better than in years past. Green fees are not too bad even for booking in-season rounds.
Wailea Golf Club - Emerald Course
Played On 08/08/2015South Maui Icon
Another great South Maui golfing experience. Great views so take many pictures for friends and family to see! This course can get busy with average round approaching 4 1/2 hours. Overall course is good shape considering all the play it gets. Greens can get firm and three putts are expected. This course fits all skill levels.
Wailea Golf Club - Gold Course
Played On 07/18/2015Double up on Emeral and Gold
If you are playing Emerald, book on Gold for a full golf experience. Course facilities; driving range and practice putting green very nice. Not as many views as on Emerald but, still grabs your attention on a few holes. Many bunkers on Gold! Greens are smaller than most think. Some forced carries but, not too many to get put you in bad spots. Par 5's for the average player are layups. Gold Course is long even from the resort tees! Overall, the average weekend golfer will enjoy the Gold and the above average player gets a great challenge!
