I have had the opportunity to play over 20 of the top 100 public courses in the country and this is still a favorite. Is it as majestic as Pebble or Torrey no but it is still so much fun. The course itself is a creative gem, nothing like it, it does remind me of Mederas in Poway, CA. For some reason I love the long winding trails between holes threw the Ozark hills. You would never walk this one. The restaurant is just terrific, eggs benedict are in a class by them selves. On my most resent visit my buddy left a very nice non golf item in the cart and he figured it was a goner but while we were having dinner 3 hours later the staff looked up my phone number and called me to let me know they had the very small item. The next morning we picked it up. If you go to the Ozarks and do not eat and play Bear Creek you made a mistake.

I have been blessed to play 7 of the top 10 public play courses in the country and this is my favorite. I think it is in the 80’s this year on the charts but for me it’s the best. This is one of Dye’s first in Coachella Valley and the best. I have played including Dunes, Stadium, Citrus and Rancho Mirage.. I highly recommend for mid to high handicappers play it from 5,400 yards (I am a 16) and you will be challenged and have a boat load of fun. Oh by the way the scenery is off the charts.

I have played 12 courses in the Valley this trip this course has the best turf. Tees, fairways, roughs and greens are in perfect condition.

I always enjoy my time at the Island. Great. People, great service and fun course.

I have played here every year for the past 10. Always fun.

Been a few years since I played the CC but it does not disappoint. The course is a great layout very creative with a great combination of long and short holes. There were some small grass issues around but the greens were terrific. The free meal is not to be missed. Great breakfast sandwiches and burritos, best around.

Might not be cheap but in my mind it is worth every penny. I am a big Sawgrass fan so there is no doubt I love this track. Playing from the golds about 5,800 yards is just so much fun. All the grasses are in terrific shape. Always remember Pete Dye giveth and he takes away.

Very fun round at Indian Wells. Conditions were outstanding with very fast greens. Lots of beautiful flowers and scenery. The course has only 2 par 3’s and 2 par 5’s. I would prefer 4 of each or more. The food truck for breakfast did not do much for me. The IW staff were great.

Shadow Ridge has it all, great grasses, very interesting layout, fabulous clubhouse and great service. The breakfast sandwich was very good. Most undulating greens in the valley.

Really good experience including a great breakfast and a wonderful round with a nice pair of Canadian ladies. Course conditions were very good. Starters instructions were strange with 90 degree rule from the rough (never heard of in the valley this time of year) and rakes left in the traps which nobody did. Small change for areal good experience.

The S is a real treat. Great conditions, great service and a great layout. This course might not be for everyone but it should be tried.

The positives of the course were the grasses that you play on were excellent, tees, fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Off the primary surfaces not so much. 2 or 3 ponds have no water in them, some did have water. The desert areas were very weedy. There is no water service on the course and to get water to drink for the course is a major hassle.

This is an outstanding facility. The practice area is first rate. The course is really cool, I played with a member and he helped guide me around the course. Highly recommend this club. There is no beverage cart and no breakfast. I had a sandwich after the round and it was delicious.

Don’t sleep on this place. Hour and 20 minute scenic drive from La Quinta and well worth it. I had breakfast and the service was over the top. The course is very creative, some thin spots in the fairways but not a downer. Around the greens and on the greens were absolutely perfect. Thanks to my playing partners from Calgary for making it so much fun.

I am a regular to Coachella Valley and I always enjoy my round at the Boulder course. I had breakfast and as usual was very good with very good service. I was down last Valentines Day and saw the destruction that the course took. I am so grateful that they brought it back to life.

I have played this course every year since I have been coming to the Valley (8 years). The B.C. owner has transformed this place in to much more than a great place to play golf. I played on a Sunday where there was a car show. They have an alternate green on 18 to make it a par 4 rather than a par 5 so they can display the cars around the green. The place was packed and when you finish 18 you get to drive through all the beautiful cars. I know it’s not for everyone but I remember a few years ago there might be a handful of people at 2:00 on Sunday having a burger but this day the patio was packed and the music was rocking. Very cool.

Played San Gorgonio a few times in the past but when I checked in for my 11:00 tee time I was informed it was a shotgun start. It worked out but unusual. Cart died on the back nine and had to be rescued. No beverages or food was disappointing.

The course recovered great after 3 1/2 inches of rain just a couple of days prior.

Always a beautiful course. Always in great condition. Parking lot always a pain. Pace of play always at Resort speed. This time no beverage service on the back nine.
