I won’t be able to comment the greens because they had been spiked and covered with sand two days before our round. The 30$ discount for that was nice, but honestly it should be more than that to play that kind of conditions. A good layout but it doesn’t stand the comparison with many mainland courses that I’ve played. Sure, the scenery is spectacular, but some holes are quite ordinary. Par 3 third and eleventh come to mind. Still a very good course but for that price you expect a five stars course. It’s a four star for me.

Had a good time plaing there in a two club wind, but most greens were not in good shape. It gets very quirky on the back nine, but it’s funny to play if you like that kind of quirkiness. At 100$ it’s too expensive but it’s Kauai... For that price go to Puakea in Lihue.

Played this course twice. After six nice but standard hole, we get to a more hilly part, and we’re in for a great ride. The back nine is very solid, specially the 11 to 18 hole where you have to think your way on a very good design . Golf is not cheap in Kauai but at 85$ this is a very good deal. Also the café is a popular spot and the food is good.

You can have fun on this short mountain course but you have to love short and quirky holes! Greens were good and fairway ok for this modest track. Played there in match play format and had a lot of fun. It's probably the best way to appreciate this course. Back 9 is the strongest part of the course with a couple of good par 3s, the fun par 4 15 and a good finishing hole.

Always a pleasure to come back to Owl's Head. Yes the place is a little remote but the region is beautiful and the course very enjoyable. Set on the side of a mountain, the course offers great views and has a great mix of flat and hilly holes. Greens have good ondulations and beware of the 9th and 18th who can be brutal with front pin placement. Greens are in good conditions but fairways can sometimes retaining a lot of water after a rainy day.

This modern design lays on a flat land and offer wide fairways, which is good at the beginning of the season. Large greens are in good conditions, roll true and are not overly fast. Clean woods offer recovery shot options and there's very few water hazards. Just choose the right set of tees and enjoy! Another 18 holes is also available at this location and offers tighter fairways.

Without the name on the course, it's not that easy to recognize Pete Dye in this layout. Don't get me wrong, the River Course is a good course in a nice setting but it is not a beast if you choose the right set of tees. Played in early April, the course was playing pretty easy even in the wind, thanks to benign rough and moderate greens. I suppose heavy rough and fast green may be the best defense of this course in high season. Still, the river gets into play on some holes so you got to stay alert, especially on the tough par three 17th. The clubhouse is a beauty and the view from the terrace is superb.

This course is a lot of fun and is not as hard as it may seem. With the exception of the first hole, which is way over the top, and third shot at the thirteenth, the course is manageable if you hit to the right spot and don't try too many heroic shots. There's so many great holes on this course, in fact most of them could be the signature hole of the course, but par 5 eleventh, par 4 ninth and par 3 14th really stand out for me. So just enjoy the ride on this roller coaster kind of course and have fun!

I left the Dormie Club with mixed feeling. Yes, it's a great Coore/Crenshaw design, a tough challenge with a great variety of holes, but you need to be a fan of minimalist architecture end minimal installation and service. It's not the kind of of place you should go with your wife for a nice afternoon of golf and a cocktail.!When you put your feet on the course you're in for a fight with a tough layout and greens that are sometimes on the verge of unfair.If you know what to expect, you can have a good time. Just don't expect to play your handicap especially if yours is over 4 or 5.

Played there for the first time 3 years ago, and the course was totally true to my memory. This is one of the best inland course that I've played in North America. Challenging design, lightning fast greens but still fair. Just don't go there thinking that you will play your handicap. You will need a sharp short game because every green missed can turned into a big number. Played there with a strong wind and the approach the ninth green was brutal. Still, it's a great challenge and the welcome and the service are one the best that you can have. So many great holes, but my favorites are the par four 4th, 12th and 14th, the par five 6th and the par three 8th.

We didn't expect much from Legacy, since we've been to Pinehurst to play some of the top dogs (Pinehurst #8, Dormie Club and Tobacco Road) but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of this course. What's really standing out is the great collection of par 3s which all vary in length and difficulty. Water comes in play regularly and the course present a lot of elevation changes. Greens were in good condition and the rate after 2 PM was neat.

Played there with four buddies as our first round of the season. Course was in good condition et greens rolled true. Fairways are pretty tight on some holes so you got to be precise with your driving, which is sometime tough at the beginning of the season. Some holes may look a bit similar, but par three 3rd and par four 18th are two memorable holes.

Had the great privilege to play this Robert Trent Jones II design with my 17 year old son! Played the Lagos and Praia courses. Inland holes looks like the Monterey Peninsula and holes along the ocean may look like South Carolina. Solid golf course with spectacular view and very good condition with fast rolling fairways. Nice guy at the pro shop, good rental clubs, but the rental process was a bit annoying. The starter treated us almost like criminals. He probably thought that we would bring the clubs with us to Canada... After one of the most enjoyable round of my life he didn't even bother asking how was our round, he just wanted to count and check the clubs! Still, the course worth every bucks!

Thanks to a great friend, played there a few time. Classic parkland course. The two courses sit on a plateau, but the Verchères is certainly more exposed and some holes can get very tough in the wind. Rough is penal, stay in the fairway !
