The course is in a lot better shape than it was when we played last year. Nice fairways and greens. Scenery and landscaping was pleasant. Our foursome went in the restaurant for a drink and had an unplanned dinner, which was very good. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. We will return.

Very nice and fun course. Fairways were decent, greens were fast. Scenery and wildlife was enjoyable. Friendly and courteous staff. Will visit again.

We played this course last year and were disappointed. The fairways were very dry and the greens were all tore up, apparently from being in the process of repairing them. A few of the holes on the greens were moved to the fairway because if it. We decided to give the course another chance and were pleasantly surprised. Will golf there again.

We golfed this course 2 yrs ago and were not impressed but gave it a 2nd shot last year. It was terrible and I did not give it a very good review. After trying to find a tee time in Lakeland again this year (it is a halfway point to golf with friends), I learned the Links of Sandpiper was being run by new owners so we decided to give it a 3rd shot. Were we pleasantly surprised! What an improvement! The fairways were green, the greens were green compared to the brown and dry conditions last year. They have done so many improvements to the course and the clubhouse...they still have a ways to go, but they are doing a great job! We are looking forward to golfing there again next year. Can't wait to see the further improvements!

I've never seen a course so bad. Mounds of high grass on bare fairways. Looked like it hadn't been watered in years. Some greens were fair, but others were horrible. It was like golfing on a cow pasture. Needs H2O and TLC. Definitely not worth the $$ .

First time golfing here. We hadn't even unloaded our clubs from the car when a course employee drove up in a golfcart and parked behind our car and immediately put our clubs in the cart! Great service! The guys in the pro shop were very friendly and courteous. We were 45 minutes early and they let us tee off as soon as we were ready. We enjoyed a couple beers after our round and the bartender was attentive, no liquor, tho. Nice course, nice fairways but some of the greens were pretty rough due to the dry weather, I'm sure. We will definitely return!!

I can understand because of the weather the course tries to makeup for lost business, but overbooking a course to try and make it up isnt gonna work. Our tee time was for 1:53, we checked in at 1:37 and the 1st teebox had 10 carts waiting ahead in front of us. Needless to say we didn't get 18 in....this has happened to us many times. Won't be back til they straighten it out.

Great course, challenging greens, will definitely golf there again.

The course was very dry, granted Florida has been very dry this winter, but it was obvious they haven't turned on their sprinklers in a while and there has been no ban on water use as of yet. There was construction sporadically, sand dumped next to the greens where it doesn't belong. The greens were in sad shape. The mowing was horrendous in spots, deep grass in clumps in the fairways. The fairways were like looking at a rollercoaster ride, very hilly, you couldn't tell where the flags were, we had to keep looking at the scorecards. Overall. if the course was better taken care of, it could be decent. Luckily we got a "hot deal" from GolfNow, but it still wasn't worth the $$.

Very nice course, great weather, pace was good, a couple greens were rough but I'm sure it's because of dry weather. We didn't do too bad for our 1st time here, but we will be back!

Fairways were rough, very dry, needs watered.
Some of the greens were rough, others were fine.
The Ranger was very pleasant, but no beer carts.
The clubhouse was closed, would have been nice to relax with a cold drink or a bite to eat. Finished around 4:30. Headed to the Sunset Grille.
Overall, was a nice round on a beautiful sunny Florida day.
