RedTail Golf Club
Played On 03/15/2021Terrible Greens
Staff admitted that they lost the greens to cold and frost over the last couple months. Staff admitted to being embarrassed by the current condition of the greens. Would not play this course for any amount of money until the greens are back to normal. Staff did the right thing by giving us rain checks good through the end of the calendar year.

Love the layout. Challenging but fair. Greens were the worst I've played on all year. Very bumpy and sections of no grass. Not acceptable conditions for a layout this expensive.

staff very friendly and accommodating; well organized check in; worth a 50 minute drive; pace of play always good; fairways and greens very good
Black Bear Golf Club
Played On 11/15/2017We arrived early enough to hit range balls and practice putting; checked with clubhouse 10 minutes before our tee time only to be told that they were backed up 45 minutes. Found out later that a regular Wednesday group of 20 had been sent off the back, had to turn in front of us onto the front and had taken 3 hours to play the back nine. Like the course enough to play it again but would try to get an early morning tee time.
Juliette Falls
Played On 02/01/2017excellent, BUT...
Greens fast, tricky but fair. Lots of fairway and greenside bunkers but generous landing areas. Two complaints. Four hour and forty five minute round for our threesome. Waited on every shot. No fun. There was no pin sheet or different colored flags to indicate whether the pins were front, middle or back. Without a range finder and some very large greens the distance to the pin was a total guess on many holes. For a quality golf course like Juliette Falls this is inexcusable.
The Lakes Golf Club

We paid less than $13 each for 18 holes with a cart through Golfnow.com and it was too much for the dirt fairways and bumpy greens. They must get enough play from local hackers to stay open but real golfers would prefer fairways with actual grass and can putt on shag carpet with better results than on these greens. The holes looked like they hadn't been moved in a month. Unless you can't afford to play a real golf course, stay away.
