Lincoln Hills Orchard

Tough weather day, combined with very slow play and greens still recovering from aeration a few weeks ago.
Usually a very pleasant experience but this round was an exception.

Plums Lakes

Good valley course, played here many years ago and course is virtually unchanged. Except some holes are tougher because of growth of trees. Easily accessible from West Roseville yet has a country atmosphere.
Greens are in good shape and challenging.

Diamond Oaks in January

The weather was great and the course is in very good shape for this time of the year. Golf Now discount rate made this round an excellent value.

Great greens

Greens are in great shape, fairways are fair to poor as are the tee boxes. Pace of play was very good, a sub-four hour round.
Layout a bit frantic, holes very close together.
Overall not a bad day of golf, especially for
the wintertime.
Would return, just not too often.

Great greens.........

The greens were in terrific shape although on the small side, unfortunately the rest of the course was in dismal shape. Bare fairways, overgrown with weeds and burnt out patches of grass.
A very challenging layout that is impossible to navigate without first hand knowledge. Went out as a single and had trouble with the many blind shots and hidden greens.
Would not return due primarily to condition of fairways and rough.

Good Layout, Equipment needs improvement

The course was in very good shape especially the greens. The people were courteous and customer oriented. The golf carts, at least the one we picked, are in less than acceptable shape and in need of a thorough cleaning.

We would return for the challenge of a good foothills layout.

Too Difficult

The course was in good shape and a good value for the money. The only drawback was the difficulty of the front nine. All three golfers in the group are around a 20 handicap and over 65 years of age. Hence we are not as long as we used to be or, sadly not as accurate either. The tightness of the front nine holes was just too much for us.

On the other hand, the back nine, with it's tremendous elevation changes seemed to play much easier.

Overall, through no fault of the course or the staff, it was just too demanding for our skill level.

I would recommend the course to 15 and under handicappers. Higher handicappers will struggle.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful which made a tough day on the course more bearable.

Whitney Oaks

Besides the greens being sanded which was expected, the overall course condition was not very good. It seems to suffer from deferred maintenance. It is a great, challenging layout, close to home, but would not play there again under the same conditions.
