This is a very good course except for the sand traps. Very little sand in the traps. Some traps had more than others. If the traps were consistent with sand, I would give it 5 stars across the board.

Even with the aeration done recently, the greens and course was in it's typical good shape. Waterlefe never disappoints.

River Strand used to be my favorite course in the Bradenton area. I understand end of summer is aeration time in Florida. River Strand always advertised that with 3 nine golf courses, playing in aerated greens wouldn't happen. I guess since it only allows the general public in during the summer its not as important to make sure there are always 18 holes in good shape.

The course and greens are in great condition for so early in the season
Met the new grounds keeper and he actually encouraged our info on condition and hole location. In almost 35 years of playing golf, that was a first

The greens on this course were very challenging. If you are in the wrong part of the green, 3 putt is almost guaranteed. The layout is a good combination of risk/reward and achievable. The 2nd or 3rd time playing will help, and is definitely recommended.

This was a very nice track. Greens rolled above average. The area around the greens were very penal. Off line a little, you could wind up in a hazard.

The golf course it self was great. The pace of play was beyound ridiculous. Gave it 1 star because there was negative numbers available. 6 hours is not acceptable.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone. The scenery will definitely distract you if you let it. Don't let the short yardage from the tips fool you. If you are not a 10 handicap or less, play the blue or white tees. You will enjoy the course better.

I have heard many good things about this course, so the 95 mile drive I thought would be worth it.
However, the greens had just been sanded and putting was inconsistent at best. The fairways were horrible. 1 Tee marker actually had a sprinkler head directly in the middle.

This course has a great layout. It is challah gong yet fair. The mutiple tees can make it as difficult as you can handle.
The only downside is the quality of the greens. They were pretty bumpy.

This course is OK for the price.. The greens are in need of a little care. A lot of weeds ad dead spots.

I have played this course a few times and will play it more often.

This course was just ok. The greens need a lot of attention

The overall condition of the course is OK but the green need some serious attention. Some greens seemed to be more green painted dirt than grass. They were pretty bumpy as well.
would play it again if the price was half but not more than that.

River strand has never disappointed me in their customer service and course condition. I make river strand a must play every trip to Bradenton
