Short executive course in fair condition. Many new golfers play the course so play is slow.

More of a short executive course.in fairly good condition. Holes are not to challenging. Not many sand traps, greens are in good shape.

I would recommend for someone who is looking for a nice practice course or maybe a great course to play golf with your wife or someone who is just learning the game.

I was very surprised with the condictioned of the course. On some fairways you had to look for grass.

This is a very well designed course in Naples Florida. One of a few non private courses that I considered a quality course. Something has happened to their fairways and in many instances you are hitting off dirt.

Staff is very friendly and off course amenities , restaurant and bar are very nice, as is the driving range.

I hope they take measures to bring this course back to its past condiction.

This is a nice course in a area where there are many golf courses but most of them are private.. course is mostly flat with not many bunkers. Fairways and greens are in fair shape.Water comes into play on most holes.They have two bold eagles who nest on the course and be aware of many alligators in the waterways.

Pace of play was very good. They are very concerned about the spacing between groups and make a big deal of it before you tee off on the first tee.

Pricy for this type of course but there are not many other options in this area.

Nice little Executive type course. Club house desk extremely, friendly, starter not so much. We asked to be able to play as a twosome, course not crowded but we were paired up with two gentleman. One never played golf before and the other took seven swings at the tee on the 1st tee box. He told us he didn’t play very often.

Course needs to be more accommodating in situations like this. We have played this course many times but will probably not return..

Nice course located in the center of the vacation area of the Jersey Shore. Love the layout but the course needs help. Lots of bare spots on the fairways. Greens also need some help. The greens are large and run true.

Always enjoy playing this course.

Very nice course in the Atlantic City area. Greens and fairways in very good condictioned.

The only problem we encountered was the ranger. On the third hole, with no one in front or back of us, he told us, as we were walking onto the green that we should be leaving the green by his timer. He had his paper and pencil out noting the time each group departed each hole. Very over aggressive since we were not holding anyone up and were not playing slow. He told us our tee off time was 12:12 PM and we should have left the third green by now. He failed to realize we didn’t tee off at 12:12 PM because they paired us up with a single who arrived late. Since it was not very busy he seemed to follow us around, showing up at different holes.

At the turn we stopped to use the rest rooms and he was upset that we didn’t tee off the 10th and the group behind us would want to play thru. If there was a group behind us we never saw them and certainly were not holding anybody up.

We were out enjoying our round and didn’t appreciate being harnessed.

As he approached us on the fifth fairway we just keep driving pass him and didn’ t stop. Apparently he got the message and on the next hole he showed up again to apologize to one of our players.

He needs training on customer service. There is a big difference between keeping the pace of play and harassing customers.

This is a local course that I have played many many times over the last 40 years. The course has a great layout and I have always enjoyed playing it.

Today the course is in very poor condition. There are several greens that have no grass at all. Fairways are nothing but weeds. There is no starter, no rangers...on one hole there were five groups sitting and waiting. Sand traps have large stones and many weeds.

Only hope that there is a future for this course. It is located in the Atlantic City area of New Jersey where their are many nice golf courses and groups come to this area to gamble in the AC casinos and play golf..maybe one of the casinos will purchase the course, invest some money and bring it back to what it formally was.

Avalon Golf Course is closely located near the summer towns along the Jersey Shore. During the Summer months it is hard to play not only because of the tourist but the high summer rates.

The Fall is a greatvtime to play, rates are lower and the course is not as crowded.

It is a great little course, in great shape and I love the lay out.

Our only compliant was the extremely slow play . Seems like a long wait on every shot.

They have a very nice restaurant with out door seating and live music in the evening s.

We played this course every time we vacationed in Palm Springs and always enjoyed the course.

This time was different. The course was not the same good shape as it has been in past years.

Their were large “mud” holes in the fairways and large “hunks” of cut grass on the tee boxes and the rough around the greens.

To further reduce our enjoyment of the “member” course, we had four carts behind us playing best ball. They were “members” and called the starter to demand we let them through. The starter came out and apologized but said they were members who play in groups and asked us to let them play thru. We said OK and were planning on doing so at the beginning of the next hole. After the starter left they began whistling and yelling for us to move over so they could play through.

I understand that members have preference over guests, but being polite and not obnoxious to guests would be nice.

After playing another two holes, another group of four carts showed up behind us.

This is a members course and I would not recommend it to those who are not members. You are not welcome or wanted at La Quinta.

I believe this is one of the best values in the Palm Springs area this time of year. Course is in great shape, greens a little slow. Lots of hills and mounds on the fairways. Hard to get a flat lie. Several of the par three’s require a long carry over water.
