Grand Cypress - North/South
Played On 05/17/2017Beautiful course but poor pace of play
This course is beautiful and was in great shape. Some of the greens were a bit bumpy with bare patches but overall they were in pretty good condition despite the drought. We tee'd off in the early afternoon and unfortunately the pace of play was horrible. The course was backed up and we waited for the group(s) ahead on each tee and most fairway shots. The wait on the back nine was ridiculous with often 2 groups waiting at the tee boxes. Played North/East. South course was closed. Round took well over 5 hours. Despite the slow pace, I would enjoy playing this course again next time I'm in Orlando.
Mystic Dunes Golf Club
Played On 07/30/2014Played Back Nine Twice
Due to aeration scheduling we could only play the back nine (twice). This course really is beautiful and scenic, and presents a challenging layout for all skill levels. Waste bunkers line many of the holes. The fairways and roughs are in great shape. On the other hand, the greens are in very poor condition. The surface of the greens consists of mainly sand with some sparse grass, making precision putting futile at best.
Carts have GPS and coolers stocked with ice.
The staff was courteous and friendly.
Overall my son (advanced), wife (beginner ) and I (intermediate) really enjoyed our round at Mystic Dunes.
