Kissimmee Bay Country Club
Played On 04/29/2022What happened to the greens on the front nine??
Overall Kissimmee Bay is a great course. I have played it many times. Earlier this year the whole course was in great shape. But when I played on April 29 ,
All of the greens on the front nine were is terrible condition. I don’t know what caused it. Could it be mold? Did a course worker put too fertilizer or weed killer in them. The greens on the back nine are still in the great shape that they bad been in earlier this year.
If I had to guess, I would say that the greens problem was caused by the miss application of fertilizers /weed killer or cutting too short. They appear to be coming back . It will take weeks.
Hunter's Creek Golf Club
Played On 09/10/2019Great, Challenging Long Course
Hunter's Creek Golf Course measures about 7,450 yards from the tips. It's the second longest course in Florida behind Islesworth. There are 5 tee boxes on each hole, so you can choose the difficultly you want. The course is tight with trees or water on either side of many fairways. There are water carries off the tee especially from the back tees. The course is a great challenge of your golfing skills for a very reasonable price. The pace of play is usually very good. The Pro Shop will tell you the best times.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 03/18/2017You must play this course
Rio Pinar is the best course, for the money, in the area. I hadn't played it for about 2 years. The some parts of the fairways and rough were dry and punky; almost like hitting from a fairway bunker. I've seen this at other courses, probably due to the general drought conditions in the Orlando area. The greens were very fast and well maintained except for a couple that could use some rolling. I will definitely be back again.
