The greens and fairways were in decent shape but the tee boxes were bad. Mostly dirt with some flattened out weeds.

Fun course to play, was in great shape. Greens are good, some tee boxes may need a little TLC. Electric carts, beer cart, food stand setup at the club house selling hot dogs and hamburgers. I would definitely play here again.

My wife and I really enjoyed this course, we both played very well for a course we had never played before. Greens run fast and true, open fairways, rough is kept low. The clubhouse is beautiful, staff very friendly, tee boxes were in pretty good shape. I would say our only disappointment was my wife asked the names of the longhorn steer by the clubhouse and the staff didn't know. If we're ever in San Antonio again I would definitely play here again.

This course is very well maintained. The tee boxes were ALL in very good shape, greens were excellent and fast. The fairways were also in decent shape, a few of the dark brown patches here and there which Charlie from the staff told us was disease they were fighting this year. Courses around Ocean County, NJ right now all have tons of those dead, dark brown patches.

All in all a great course to play, not particularly hard, great shape, friendly, helpful staff. I don't think I would pay full price for it ($90 weekends) but with the GolfNow deal it was perfect!

This was my first time playing here, caught a special they were having one day, basically a 2 for 1. Fairways and greens were in decent shape, lost a few too many balls in the leaves though but that happens this time of year no matter where you play. Bunkers could use some work, some were packed down and so hard you couldn't play your ball out.

I would play here again.

Always a good time at Gambler Ridge. Course is always in decent shape, moderate difficulty, staff is always very friendly. The drink cart was missing though, that was a bummer.

This 9 hole, par 31 course was definitely worth the GolfNow price. Not too challenging, tee boxes were in good shape. Not enough people fix their ball marks on the green which is a problem every where. I would definitely play here again.

Well maintained course. Greens were in excellent shape, most tee boxes too. Back 9 harder than front, more hills. Well stocked pro shop, snack shacks. A lot of par fours on this course.

Don't expect to see too many pins from the tee box, most holes dog leg. Overall condition was good, cheap rate on GolfNow, I would play here again if I was in the area.

Lots of geese. Teeing off on 15 a Border Collie came tearing through the fairway chasing birds, it was pretty funny.

Definitely a Links course, tough layout, hard to see where your ball lands so you lose a lot. My biggest complaint is the beer cart girl ignored us so we never got a chance to enjoy a beverage.

The hills remind me of Ballamor, course itself reminds me of Sea View Pines. Fast greens, tee boxes in great shape. Some of the greens are just evil with the pin placement on hills.

Forge Pond is notorious for narrow fairways. Par 60 course that plays higher because of it. Course is in decent shape compared to earlier this year, greens are a little slow.

Very nice course, wide open, not a lot of trees. Ground seemed really hard though. high shots hitting the green did not leave a ball mark so the ball would roll a lot further than normal. Could be lack of rain recently. Greens are fast, I would definitely play here again!

Decent course for being county owned. Tee boxes were in pretty good shape, Most greens were smooth and fast. A lot of long holes. Rangers have a bad habit of distracting you. They drive around a lot and just stop and watch you...complete opposite of Forge Pond, the other Ocean County Golf Course.

This course is fun to play, a little challenging at times. All the greens have been recently aerated so putting is tough. The fairways are currently a bit beat up, nothing out of the ordinary for the area and the season we had. All in all, still one of my favorite courses around and the GolfNow deals for it can't be beat.

Played 18 from a Golfnow deal the other day, $35 each for a 7:30am tee time. What a beautiful course, very well maintained, low cut rough makes finding your ball easier, greens run fast and true. They had just aerated the 17th and 18th fairways and were working on another on the front nine, glad we got in before they are all done. I will definitely play here again!

Bring some bug spray, if the wind is right the green heads will be attacking you. Other than that, the course is in great shape, beautifully landscaped, fast greens and lots of sand. i would never pay full price to play here but with the GolfNow deal I couldn't pass it up.

Like most courses around in NJ, the summer heat has hit it hard. Dead brown patches on grees, tee boxes and fairways, not much you can do. For what it is, I think the course is priced too high unless you are a Berkeley resident or you find a good deal on GolfNow. I payed $16 to play with the GolfNow deal. Without the discount, it would have been close to $50 with a cart, not worth it.
