Lake Cora Hills
Played On 06/21/2018Course in good shape for all the rain
Area has received above normal rainfall this year. Hole 5, a par 3, over a pond was flooded all the way to the green. Though not closed, we chose not to play it because we did not want to get wet or damage the course by trying to play it. Rest of course was in good shape. Several of the difficult par 5’s they have shortened, cleared trees on 18th hole to open it up. All were good changes for the average golfer.

The Golf Club at Hilton Head Lakes
Played On 03/20/2015Played after heavy rain
Course was very wet after a heavy rain the day before. Staff was very friendly. Course was cart path only which means play was slow as many times it was a long walk from cart path to fairway. Greens # 1 and 2 have lawn grass growing thru out, which makes putting unreliable.
Great value, but cart paths were bumpy
The course is a great value, but appears to be played very little. My wife and I only saw one other golfer on the course. Very friendly staff. Nice casual round for us, not being pushed or waiting for others. Only drawbacks were the cart paths and the front nine greens had recently been aerated. They are going away from asphalt to wood chips. The problem is the wood chips form pothole like depressions which jar your kidneys. The aeration of the front nine greens made it impossible to putt accurately.

Lots of water, wildlife and great views. Be prepared to lose a few balls.
