Being a visitor from England over the last twenty years, I have played several courses in the Ocala area and most had course conditions not much better than our English winter conditions so, I tried Candler Hills for the first time, for 3 rounds, on this visit. Candler Hills fairways always allowed one to hit the back of the ball and the greens were as big and sometimes as fast as we see on TV for Augusta. The 88 bunkers had good sand and no stones like I am used to. The online booking made it a reasonable price and very good value compared to other courses in the area.
