North Shore Golf Course
Played On 10/10/2017Quick and painless
Have played here several times while visiting Florida. Generally decent condition; not great but pretty nice. A great value for the money. Very light play and a quick round.

Played On 02/17/2017Tee time?
When we finally arrived at the course after a rather unfriendly guard at the gate, the pro shop told me that it was impossible for me to have the tee time I had because they had a large group and had blocked off the tee sheet for them. I showed him my email confirmation and he said they would find a way to get us off. When we got to the starter and told him our tee time, his response was the same; impossible. After a bit we were paired with an older couple who played there often and were very nice. The course had the best directional markings of any other course we've played here. The course was short but provided enough trouble to easily make up for the shorter aspect. Greens were fast but seemed to be true. Once on the course we had a very nice day and will play here again.
Rio Pinar Golf
Played On 02/14/2017Tough to play the first time
This course was in very nice condition and the greens were near excellent; very fast but true. Our only complaint had to do with the fact that there were no course pictures on the scorecard or tee boxes and plenty of hidden water that came into play. If this were still a private course that would not be a problem, but as now public and many tourists playing it for the first time, they need to upgrade their scorecards for enjoyment and pace of play.
Related, we asked the starter if there were cristals on the flags and he said no when in fact there were but several were missing causing some to not work. When he said no cristals I said I would just use my Garmin but it never advanced on hole number one or beyond. After the round, I mentioned this to the guy cleaning our clubs and he said that the course was reversed about 4 or 5 years ago and we should have started the Garmin on # 10. That would have been nice to know when I asked about the cristals at the start and then said I would just use my Garmin. At least then I would have seen the hidden hazards. We still had fun but it will be much more fun if we play again.
Hunter's Creek Golf Club
Played On 02/07/2017Mean greens
The course was in decent shape but very dry, which we were told is normal for this time of the year. However, the greens were in very rough condition. Some of the holes were completely burned around the edges and looked like they hadn't been moved in weeks. Other greens were just plain burned out and terrible. We had a good time but they need some serious help with the greens. Otherwise a nice track.
Timacuan Golf Club
Played On 01/18/2016Tight lies
Overall, tHe course was very good condition. The greens stuck well and were quick but we found them tough to read. The fairways had very tight lies which resulted is some scuffed shots with fairway woods but worked fine for approach irons. Bring a Gps or other type of range finder as on course markings were few and far between.

Played On 01/14/2016Great value at a very nice course.
Plenty of challenges yet fair enough. Greens and fairways were in nice shape. A couple of long par threes from the blues but still lots of fun.
