Always played Panther Run when I came to Florida - but found out about this course which had come about during non travel times of Covid - Ryan is very friendly and helpful - still a lot of construction so outhouses on the course and dusty lanes - but the course is great for this intermediate female senior Canadian golfer who looks forward to returning here in the future

Having played the course two weeks before with one brother and thorough enjoying it, we decided to treat my youngest brother to a birthday celebration - so I made two tee times at 12.00 and 12.07. We are a golfing family and my sister and I have played all around the world (Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and I’d course USA) - we r Canadians - I’m writing this to let the readers know that we r no strangers to the game - including golf etiquette and pace of play!
I was in the second foursome and when Angelo (starter) came to ask us to let the threesome behind us through - we agreed - once they caught us with us - which they did on hole 9.
Imagine our surprise when a twosome who were behind the threesome (walker and rider) drove by and said ‘we’re going through ladies!’ Apparently the walkers r members? What could we do?
The threesome now two groups ahead asked to be let through from our first foursome BUT the club had put ANOTHER GROUP in front of my first foursome - so there was no place for the threesome to go! In my first foursome was one of my brothers who is a Marshall at Royal ashburn in Whitby ontario so he certainly knew if the threesome should have been let through - so we waited and waited and lost our momentum!
Needless to say a good time turned out to be one of my most frustrating games - and yet we made it in 3.57 hours
My recommendation- if members rule and have the right away regardless of having ‘guests’ wait and wait and wait - then do not make yourself available quail run for visitors - we called the club house on hole 13 - the response ‘ we will check on it and send a Marshall out’ - well I’m still waiting!! Angelo could only say that peak season would be worse - implying that this comes with the territory
Put your tee times ten minutes apart
Tell ur members to play early or just face the consequences and WAIT THEIR TURN! That twosome was waaaaay out of line! Enough said!!!

My sister and I played with 2 brothers - we had a great time - USA and CANADA - friends forever!! We actually made it just as the sun set so the pace was good for us - although the brothers , being ace golfers lol, might have thought that it was slow towards the end

If I lived here, this would be my course! Not sure if I will get to play again before I head back to wintry weather but I sure will try!! Keep up the hot deals golf now and bring back the prize for playing more than ten games - instead of encouraging us to spend more money on golf pass!

Even though we were using a ‘hot deal’ , and the staff including starter Randy and check in woman were really friendly , my sister and I (2 females) found no gps on the cart, no friendly ‘map’ on the card. The female restroom on hole 14 - I had a shock as the entire seat came apart - will try to upload photo. Pin placements were not accurately marked and even my Garmin did not pick up distances from the golf and red tees - which added to the frustration - is /was this a private course before? No course info for a new visitor - not to be repeated

The heat got to us and that’s the only negative thing - we are Canadians not accustomed to 35 degrees Celsius in November!! Would love to tackle the course in around 15 Celsius!!

Parking - limited due to construction. Be prepared.
Rental of clubs - my sister was visiting so she rented clubs. She was asked three times if she was right handed but out on course, found that three of her clubs were left handed. We had to share our wedges.They were absolutely filthy also!

Pace of play - horrendous - a fivesome was allowed to go out and while this may work with good players, we had to wait until they waited until the green was clear and then hit maybe a drive of 100 yards...so they hit another one - each of them! the group behind us played 15 instead of waiting on 13 and then they disappeared. I guess they were members or had had enough.
Friendly marshall came out on back nine but by then it was too late - we knew that we were in for a six hour round.
Drive back to Ottawa in Tornado weather just finished off my day!!

Senior female golfer

My brother and I played this beautifully laid out course on what turned out to be a great day weather wise!!
Larry checked us in and we played in under four hours
I highly recommend this course even at the regular price!!!!

Busy course but when split in two not do bad
Interesting that eagle lakes in Naples charged me a lot more to play and that course is almost in the same condition
No rakes in bunkers
No water in ball cleaners at each hole
But value for amount paid
Hope that weather and time allow for green grass as time moves on

It is somewhat intimidating for a senior single female avid golfer to approach a golf course looking for a game and although tee times made were not adhered to the staff especially John Mike and andrew made me welcome and comfortable on the four days that I played
The only negative to my experience was finding a crack on my windshield on car left in parking lot
And yes the course is showing signs of hurricane damage but we should show some patience and rely on the fact that the staff cannot wave a magic wand to fix it all at one time!!

While my sister played from the gold tees, I challenged myself on the green ones. She and her husband had played the course before, but this was my first time. We played the day after a huge rainstorm and in gusty high wind cool weather. Front nine was good but the weather got the best of us on the back nine ; we limped into the clubhouse after looking for a warm shower but none available. Pity!
I think we were the only two females out on that day but I cannot wait to go back next year and play the course again. Friendly pro shop staff which is always a plus. Thanks for the hot deal!

This is why I will return to play the course - as right now, lots of work is being done around holes 14 and 18 - muddy and not too much signage.
I anticipate that the course will be worth the fee once all is done.
The staff - what an awesome friendly bunch of helpful people - another reason I would like to visit the course again. Sometimes, I get an uncomfortable feeling when I let some proshops know that I got my booking through Golf now - they look at me as if I am cheap!
But not this one - awesome!!

We always enjoy this course - tried the whites this time (female player) and found it to be a nice challenge. Nice drive in from Mississauga - always a pleasure to get the deal from Golfnow.com

just to see what it has to offer. Got a great deal on hot deals and we were let through as we were a twosome so did not spend too much time waiting. Friendly area people and staff made for a pleasant afternoon

and the starter was friendly
but when we encountered a problem with the cart, the encounter with the marshal on duty causes me not to ever visit that course again.
chatted with the maintenance guy while waiting for the guys to tee off and he was great so he kinda made up for the behavious of the marshall.
pity about this as it is a great course but the game was over 5 hours!!!
But, I would still recommend the course cause that is what it is all about - the actual game
