Good condition.

Course is in good shape. Nothing outstanding about this course but it is in good condition. Reasonable greens, not too fast or slow and smooth with few flaws or random weeds. The carts used to have gps but they have removed them but not a big deal if you have your own range finder. Our pace was great as it was a little cold and we went off about 12:30. Course is on the easy side. Very forgiving links type course. Not many hazards. Just a few sand bunkers and a few water (lake) hazards. Course lends itself to low scoring. I have played here many times and will continue to play. They have good prices, especially on off-peak times. Par is 70.

Fine course but tough if you don't know the course.

We golfed in September 2016. This is a municipal course so and it was quite damaged in some floods last year that shut it down for a while. Both 18 hole courses are now fully open! The course is in good shape. They are doing a pretty good job of keeping the fall weed under control. The greens were a bit slow but mostly in good shape. The biggest struggle was with determining the hole layouts since we hadn't played there in a couple years. There are NO pictures on diagrams of the hole at the tee box. There are NO pictures of the holes (even the little ones) on the score cards. There was no GPS. So I motored back to the starter stand to see about a booklet or ANY rendition of the holes. THEY HAD NOTHING! No way to determine the hole layout. I guess they thought we could just drive up the hole an look at it before hitting our drives. You can't do that of course... so you just have to hit and hope there is not a LAKE (we were playing the LAKES course) or bunker or any other unknown hazards. I'm sure once you play the course a few times the issue is moot, but come on. Oh yeah.. the online golf reservation system I used to book the tee time indicated that GPS would be included. It turns out that the did have GPS many years ago but the newer carts DON"T have them. That's my two cents.

NICE CORSE, GREAT LAYOUT, GOOD CONDITION

Played with father-in-law on nice winter day. Weather was 50 to 60 degrees and not much wind. The course is challenging. The #1 tee pushes EVERY ball right, no matter how far left you play it! It is a frustrating way to start a round. After that the tees (we played the white tees) and fairways were laid out nicely. There are a nice mix of water hazards, sand traps and creek crossings and interesting holes emphasizing accuracy from the tee.
Some (but not all) of the sand traps were a bit rough. Some were more like dirt and you couldn't play them with a standard sand shot. There were quite a few of them, especially around the greens which also emphasized accuracy.
The greens were moderately fast with a challenging amount of undulations. Several pins were on a steep grades making it difficult to 2 putt which was a bit frustrating. I missed a couple putts by less than an inch and rolled 10 feet past!
I would recommend the course. I really like the course layout (except hole #1). Staff seemed helpful. No drink girls or marshals but we went on a slow day and really didn't need them.

Not impressed

The course left me dissapointed in several ways. The course is by the city land fill and that day the wind was coming from that direction. I almost left, it stunk so bad. On one of the holes some kind of (hopefully) water was spraying up from the dump and misting onto us. Gross! About the only thing I liked was that the course was narrow and challenging. This course is a lot of work to play. The entire course is "cart path" only all the time every day. The greens were ok but had many spike marks and unrepaired ball marks. I got a good on-line deal but even at the cheap price I will probably play elsewhere especially when the wind is out of the north.

Usually in better condition. ,.

I like this course but because of the late Texas freezes the greens are a little rough with many patches of brown, dead areas. This course is usually in much better shape. Don't avoid this course... just give it a little more time to recover. The layout is great. You have to carefully choose your clubs from the tee not just a driver on every hole. The fairways were pretty green and in good condition. The sand traps were not very well groomed but not too bad.

Great Value

We played on a windy day but both scored well. This is a forgiving course. Very few sand traps and just a few water hazards. It is almost too easy. Only a few holes have much penalty for hitting errant shots. Often you can just play from the wrong fairway. That being said, the course was in great early summer shape. The fairways are green and well maintained. Most of the greens are in good shape although I wish they were just a little more consistent. There was a mix of grass types on some of the greens making some a little slower than others and kind of hard to read. We play this course often. My father-in-law is 83 years old and prefers an easier course where he doesn't loose as many balls.

Beautiful course! Perfect day of golf.

Course was in great shape. Fairways were lush and green. As at other Tour 18 courses, the holes duplicate famous holes around the country. They are very similar, but many of the holes are very challenging. There was a lot of sand traps which I don't handle very well. The greens were in great shape and also challenging. We were playing behind a small shotgun start tournament so the play was a bit slow but it wasn't too bad. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Greens a little rough due to recent airation but good valuel

Inexpensive course and a good value. Nice fairways. Greens need a little attention but they usually put the pin in a good area. A few interesting holes but not very difficult. No sand traps. Par for the course is 69. The front 9 has 4 par 3's. We played on a really nice day and had a good time.
