About
I haven't really played regularly since about 1992 and just getting back into it. I've played 4 times since restarting back at the end of September and hoping to keep up a pace of at least once a month...hopefully more!

Lansbrook Golf Club
Played On 01/07/2018Be careful of pace
I really do like this course quite a bit. The condition had been good every time I have played (tees, fairway, and greens). The price for this course is also a steal, but this all adds up to one problem, pace of play. The course is so good for the price that many people play here at all times of day which creates the worst pace of play I have encountered anywhere. I have yet to see a ranger on the course actually enforce anything around this. This has my favorite pro shop and club house to date and I’ll continue to play, but make sure you give yourself at least 4 hours to play to be safe. Also, the greens at this course are the fastest that I have expeirienced anywhere that I have played. A good challenging course for your short game.
Dunedin Stirling Links
Played On 10/29/2017Friendly staff...and that’s about it
This course was in the worst condition I have ever encountered at a course. The fairways were worse than a bad rough, the greens were non-existent, flags were missing, and the course was confusing to navigate. The site states the driving range is state of be art...very far from it. The pads are all worn, tees and missing, and the range looks awful. The carts leave a lot to be desired as well. On our first tee, the greens keeper picked up my tee shot from behind the green while he was working around the neighboring tee box...who does that?!?! This course is also used for foot golf so their are large foot golf holes with flags sitting in the middle of fairways and in front of greens. I really wanted to like this place for the price, but it just wasn’t worth it for the conditions.
East Bay Golf Club
Played On 10/14/2017Long holes and nice greens
I like this course for a few reasons: it is close; it is inexpensive; and it has a lot of long holes for driving and good fairways with great greens. The range here is a bit narrow and potentially short and the club house seems a little outdated, but overall, this is one of my favorite places to go so far in the Largo/Clearwater area.
Rocky Point Golf Course
Played On 10/13/2017Good value
The course has a good mix of short through long holes and the greens were in very good condition. The fairway and rough could use a little work, but we also played half the round in the rain. For my first time out there, I thought the course was worth the money and I would return again.
Hawk's Ridge
Played On 10/10/2017Absolutely Amazing!
I have never played at a private club and especially not one used by professionals to ready for Augusta. I went as part of a conference so I really have no idea what it would cost to play here, but whatever it was, I'm sure it would be worth the money if you can afford it. We played at Hawks Ridge a week or so prior to a tournament to be held and the course was in pristine condition. There is not one non ultra-positive thing I can say about this club. The amenities were top notch from the club house, to the locker room, to the range and everything in between. Our caddy Peter left nothing to be desired. If I were in the market to be a member of a club, I would consider moving to the area just to join.
Countryway Golf Club
Played On 09/30/2017Great price for a cart and course...but no greens
The price to play at Countryway isn't too bad, but the course is very narrow and needs a lot of help with the greens. There was only 1 or 2 really playable greens at the course. Most of the greens looked like they had did placemats for wiping your spikes and made it impossible to put. The guys that work there are extra friendly and the course was not too busy.
Course is in best shape I've seen it in years. Congrats to the staff.
