Unmanaged pace of play

So now a days most courses have carts with GPS, this course does have GPS. That being said the clubhouse can monitor pace of play.
Well this once my first and last time playing this course. I drove 57 min from Imperial Beach, my buddy told me how fun this track was. It took us 2 hours and 37 mins to be standing over our approach shot on the 8th hole...we ended up picking up and driving into the pro-shop. I have played behind some slow groups before, yet this was obscene. We stood on a par 3 tee box and timed it at 17 mins.
As mentioned about the GSP on the carts, wake up and notice you have 4 groups backed up on the 4th hole.
Hey on a good note!! The greens were great!

We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!

Slow pace ignorant starter

First off I have an 8 handicap and my playing partner a 18. When we first pulled up to the #1 tee box they paired us up with some guy and his 13 year old son. Gave us the whole deal about if you’re gonna shoot over a double on a hole pick up and move on; we told him we’ll keep pace with the group in front of us. The starter said “oh well they are playing from the tips and will have no prop lem keeping pace” HAHAH!!! Sorry if you shoot 90+ you should not even attempt the tips; your drive is 220 and you wait for the green to clear on a 330 second shot par 5. Your par 3’s are ground runners but hey you play from the tips so you’re good. The marshal had the freaking nerve to tell our group at one point to pick up and move on...the group in front of us hadn’t even left the tee box yet; so sorry you paired us up with this guy and his kid which weren’t playing half as bad as the group in front of is but I’m playing all 81 strokes that I did regardless of what you tell me. Field marshals should really base who they ask to speed up or pick up on the Par 5’s with players who drive less than 250 and wait for the green to clear.
